Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager
Engineering manager job in Sacramento, CA
Job Description
You want the kind of role where you are hands-on, thinking like a true builder for multi-story structural concrete projects.
As a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager, you get the non-corporate feel where your ideas matter and you are involved in everything - without getting trapped in a huge corporate machine. You want to own responsibilities early, grow fast, and work directly with senior engineers. (If you want to get your P.E. stamp, we can help with that, too.)
If you were the kid who built erector sets and is hooked on solving structural challenges, if you want variety instead of always being stuck behind a desk, if you like the opportunity, pace and autonomy of a smaller company doing big projects, this opportunity is made for you.
Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager - Your Job Duties
You will support structural concrete construction projects from engineering through field execution, ensuring drawings, materials, communication, and documentation stay accurate and up to date, working on multiple projects in various stages of construction.
Create AutoCAD shop drawings and perform updates under direction of senior engineering and project leadership
Review and track RFIs
Create and implement schedules to ensure on time project delivery
Conduct regular job walks and field visits (1-2 days per week) to verify progress and resolve issues
Manage project budgets and support cost tracking
