Premier Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Strategic Communications SME. This position will provide data analysis and will be specifically focused on data generated by military technology development projects, including performance metrics, test results, cost data, and other relevant parameters. By analyzing this data, the analyst will provide insights and recommendations to the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense of Intelligence and Security OUSD(I&S) leadership to inform decisions about program direction, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
Tasks may include:
Write and edit communications including speeches, talking points, brief slides, and remarks for use in presentations and other requirements by the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security, the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security. This is a daily task. Develop, research, and provide written materials for a wide range of audiences and topics, mostly regarding DoD intelligence and security related topics. Estimated quantity is two per week.
Work with various stakeholders to identify appropriate messaging for various speaking and engagement opportunities. This is a daily activity.
Translate the ideas, objectives, and leadership position and management philosophy into messaging that relates to the topic, speaker and intended audience. This is estimated to be a daily task.
Prepare a variety of communications materials including white papers, visual and digital media, and program briefs. Estimated quantity is three per week.
Submit draft outlines, speeches, and written documents to senior leadership for revisions and approval. Estimated quantity is twenty-four per year.
Schedule rehearsal sessions with the speaker and provides them with tips and advice.
Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and government practices that may affect organizations' policies or procedures
Conduct regular reviews of existing policies and procedures and update as required.
Provide feedback and suggestions to authors, content creators, and action officers to improve publications/documents and future documents
REQUIRED QUIALIFICATIONS
At least seven (7) years of policy/procedure writing experience
Proven experience as a Policy and Procedure Writer or similar role within the federal government
Experience working with DoD, and the Intelligence Community
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading abilities
Familiarity with researching federal government, defense and/or legal regulations
Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Significant experience writing and editing policy/procedure documents, including security and intelligence documentation
