The Food Prep position will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold foods determined by the supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform specific jobs appropriate to the unit's circumstances determined by the supervisor.
The assembly, operation, and disassembly of the following equipment:
Meat and cheese slicer, food processor, R-2/Robocoupe, food choppers, and cutters, food blenders and mixers (floor and table models)
The operation of the following equipment: saute burners, convection oven, kettle steamer, warming unit, pizza oven, microwave, grill/flat top and fryer. Various size pots/pans, platters, dishes and hand held utensils, knives, mops, brooms, dust pans, buckets, cleaning towels and agents.
Comprehension and compliance of both verbal and written instructions from the supervisor.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Lifting and moving of food, food containers and other non-food items from floor position to no higher than one's own height.
Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
Receive, unpack, rotate and stow deliveries per supervisor's instruction.
Follow all outlined health and safety regulations with regard to equipment use and personal hygiene.

This is a part-time position with flexible shifts that vary within business hours. Shifts include 9 am-5 pm Monday through Friday, as well as evening, night, and weekend shifts.
As our Expo - FoodRunner, you'll be the final checkpoint before food reaches the guest. You'll ensure every plate is accurate, beautifully presented, and delivered promptly. You'll communicate constantly with both kitchen staff and servers, keeping the flow smooth and the energy high. Your role is fast-paced, hands-on, and essential to our guest experience.

As a Barista at Villa Restaurant Group, you will play a pivotal role in crafting memorable experiences for our Guests by preparing and serving a variety of coffee and beverage offerings with precision and enthusiasm. Your warm and friendly interactions with our guests will create a positive atmosphere and leave a lasting impression.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Coffee Preparation: Expertly prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and beverage items, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and tea, adhering to Villa Restaurant Group's standards of quality and consistency.
Guest Service: Welcome Guests with a friendly and approachable demeanor, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
Order Accuracy: Prepare and present orders accurately, paying close attention to detail to ensure the highest quality beverages are served to our guests.
Cash Handling: Efficiently process guest payments, operate the cash register, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our coffee menu, promotions, and special offerings, and assist guests in making informed choices.
Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee station and equipment, following health and safety guidelines.
Efficiency: Work efficiently, especially during peak periods, to minimize guest wait times while providing top-notch service.
Guest Engagement: Build rapport with Guests by engaging in friendly conversation, ensuring their needs and preferences are met, and addressing any questions or concerns.
Stocking and Inventory: Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and report any inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
Adherence to Policies: Strictly adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including food safety regulations.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Previous experience as a barista or in a similar guest-focused role is preferred.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional beverages.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and bend and reach to access equipment and supplies.
