This is a part-time waitstaff position at Six Ninety One Restaurant, the Grayson College student-led restaurant.
The rate of pay for this position is $12.00/hr.
Responsibilities:
Arrive and set up restaurant for fine dining
Gauge customers' seating needs and seat them at appropriate tables
Provide customers with information on menu items
Leave customers for a little time to give them a chance to choose from the menu but keep an eye out for customers questions
Answer questions regarding menu items and ingredients by working with the chef
Maintain knowledge of any items that the kitchen may be running out of
Take orders for lunch or dinner and repeat orders to ensure accuracy
Inform customers about the time it will take for their orders to be prepared and served
Relay orders to the kitchen using a POS and ensure that they are prepared and taken to the customers accurately and in a timely manner
Prepare drinks according to customers' instructions and serve then in a timely manner
Ask customers if they would like anything else with their orders
Preparing checks for served meals and deliver checks to customers
Take payment in exchange of services rendered and tender any change
Make sure that tables are cleared, cleaned and bussed properly before the next set of customers arrive.
Clear restaurant at the end of the day and complete side work to include polishing silverware and preparing for the next day.
During the day, you will also be involved in training students learning wait staff duties.

As a Restaurant Server, you create memorable experiences for our guests, making sure everyone leaves feeling happy and satisfied. You take orders, serve guests with a smile, and help them out with whatever they need. When you're not interacting with guests, you're cleaning tables, restocking supplies, and assisting your team as needed.

Costumed Beverage Server
As a Costumed Beverage Server, you will play a crucial role in elevating the guest experience by providing exceptional service in an entertaining environment. Your responsibility will be to serve beverages with style, captivating guests with your enthusiasm and charm. This position demands a dedication to customer service, creativity, and the ability to embrace the themed experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Create a fun-filled, entertaining environment.
Greet guests with fast, friendly service, incorporating a stage persona.
Ensure guest satisfaction, drink quality, and cleanliness.
Have knowledge of drinks, ingredients, and prices.
Take orders, serve drinks, explain preparation methods, and inform guests of specials.
Check guest identification and manage excessive drinking responsibly.
Write orders and handle payments.
Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
Review procedures to improve service, performance, and safety.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and guests.
Perform administrative tasks and maintain files.
Ensure clean uniforms and support teamwork.
Demonstrate superior attendance, punctuality, and adherence to policies.
Required Qualifications:
Must be 18+ years of age.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming badge (if applicable).
Must be able to obtain an ABLE liquor license.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Incorporate a stage personality while serving guests.
Possess knowledge of guest services and communication skills.
Ability to read, write, understand orders, handle cash, and use computers.
Employee appearance is a bona fide occupational qualification necessary to ensure that employees maintain the entertainment theme of the casino. Uniforms will consist of a costume, and employees must conform to an appearance conducive to that costume, enforced equally for males and females.
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
Stand and walk during shifts, perform physical tasks, and work in a restaurant/bar/casino environment.
Moderate to high noise levels, exposure to smoke, and limited physical risk.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
