In March 1998 BolsWessanen announced that it would sell its alcoholic beverage operations in order to focus fully on food.
Similarly, a specialty food distributor in the Pacific Northwest was gained in early 1998 when Ray's Food Service, Inc. was acquired.
Tree of Life introduced a new proprietary-branded vitamin and supplement line in 1998.
In early 1999 BolsWessanen renamed itself Koninklijke Wessanen nv.
1999 - “Processor” membership opened to companies processing nearly all food products.
