    We are currently seeking a Lab Technical Services Coordinator to join our team. This full time role will work a combination of mid-shift (start times falling between 7 AM and 9 AM) and evening shift, including every other weekend. Mid-shift coverage would likely occur more often. Purpose of this position: The role of the technical services coordinator is to support a designated section of the laboratory. In this role you must collaboratively work with laboratory teams, organizational laboratory customers, Hennepin Healthcare affiliates and clients to provide an excellent customer experience. Support the mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives of the organization and demonstrate a commitment to quality service to patients, physicians, the public, and co-workers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Core Laboratory * Answers incoming phone calls with the expectation to respond appropriately to external and internal customers' needs/issues without transferring the phone calls to another section of the laboratory. This will require coordination with all sections of the laboratory and may require a return call for resolution * Call/page all critical values to the provider and complete the documentation of all calls in the electronic health record * Utilization of the electronic health record and the laboratory information system to efficiently complete add-on test requests, or to confer with the ordering provider if the add-on tests cannot be completed * Call all specimen rejection problems to the provider, including all affected specimens for that collection period * Monitors the core lab pending logs and communicates to the technical staff to ensure testing is not delayed * Operating laboratory equipment as assigned by management after proper training * Performs administrative support work including, but not limited to, entry of test results into the laboratory information system, assisting with departmental inventory management * Other duties as assigned for which they have received applicable training and supervisor approval to perform QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: * Associate's degree in arts or science or equivalent * OR- * An approved equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications: * One year of experience in the laboratory and * One year of experience in customer service skills For Core Laboratory: Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) ASCP, or a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) NCA Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: * Customer Service skills * Basic Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Must be available to work primarily NIGHT shift (8 pm - 8 a.m) and at least 40 hours per month. Purpose of this position: Forensic Examiners provide medical forensic services to victims and suspects of sexual assault, human trafficking, and abuse. Forensic Examiners also help assault victims cope with the trauma and consequences of the assault. Victims receive assistance through area hospitals 24 hours a day RESPONSIBILITIES * The Examiner will respond to the Call Center within fifteen (15) minutes of the page and supply an estimated time of arrival to the hospital. The goal is to arrive within 1 hour from the page * Provide acute (within 168 hours of a sexual assault) examination of adult and adolescent (13 and older) patients at all contracted facilities * Provide acute (within 72 hours of a sexual assault [witnessed, reported, or potential contact with suspect) examination of pediatric patients (under 13 years old) at Hennepin County Medical Center and University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital * Respond if assault has occurred within 72 hours (or suspect has had potential contact with patient within prior 72 hours) * Depending on the totality of the circumstances, the Forensic Examiner may decide that an acute exam is still warranted even past the 168 hour mark. This decision will be determined with the assistance of the Manager of the Day and/or the Medical Director * Functions of a medical-forensic examination include the following: * Medical history * Assault history * Physical exam including identification and documentation of injuries and pain to include photodocumentation * Anogenital examination including identification and documentation of injuries and pain to include photodocumentation * Collection of forensic evidence (based on interview) * Sexually transmitted infection prophylaxis and testing, if indicated * Pregnancy testing and emergency contraception, if indicated * HIV prophylaxis, if indicated * Crisis intervention, and follow-up information and referral * Collaboration and case management with Medical Team, Child Protection, Adult Protection, Social Work, and Law Enforcement (if needed) * Attend the department's staff meetings * Follow the Holiday and Minimum Hour Requirement for casual examiners * Meet the minimum of 40 hours of on-call availability * Follow the self-scheduling monthly process * Be responsible for any equipment provided by the department (camera, memory cards, pager, badge) * Maintain chain of custody on all evidence collected and follow procedure for securing evidence * Adhere to all HCMC policies set forth by the organization * Prep for and appear to testify in all cases in compliance with subpoenas * Maintain certifications associated with the work of a forensic examiner * Conduct forensic exams and evidence collection for non-sexual assault cases under department protocols QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education/ Work Experience: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse. * A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience within the past 5 years. Preferred Qualifications: * Completion of IAFN-Accredited SANE-A Course * Completion of IAFN-Accredited SANE-P Course * Previous experience as a Forensic Nurse Examiner/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner * Phlebotomy skills * Experience with EPIC * Public Speaking * Experience in Emergency Care, Critical Care, Pediatrics, and/or acute care setting. Free Parking Purpose of this position: Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties allowable by law, while maintaining a favorable image of the pharmacy within the hospital and in the community RESPONSIBILITIES: * Answers phones for the pharmacy department and directs calls to appropriate personnel * Maintains knowledge of the Hospital Credit and Collection Policy and other related policies * Prepackages, prepares, labels, and hands out prescriptions after they are checked by a registered pharmacist * Maintains cash registers, credit card machines, and reporting for cash transactions * Prepares daily deposits for the cashier's office * Bills and credits patient medications * Stocks inventory in Pharmacy * Routinely checks and removes outdated and expired medications * Delivers medications to patient care and ancillary areas and picks up new orders as scheduled * Files prescriptions and reports * Maintains the pharmacy in a clean and organized fashion * Enters outpatient prescriptions * Obtains and records patient drug histories * Triages orders, determines priorities, processes orders, and notifies the pharmacist as appropriate * Performs various calculations to determine the correct dose using weight * Identifies the appropriate product to process based on the prescription order * Triages insurance rejections and initiates prior authorization claims as needed * Uses appropriate pharmaceutical-medical terms, abbreviations, and symbols * Maintains a working knowledge of general chemical and physical properties of drugs * Compounding medications as per Minnesota Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations * Is responsible for safe and careful handling of chemotherapeutic medications * Assists with other duties as assigned but only after appropriate training QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: * Computer skills * Knowledge of Pharmacy computer systems * Insurance and Billing Experience * Experience working with specialty medications in a health system setting * Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program or a 240-hour employer-based Technician training Program or 1,000 hours of Pharmacy experienc Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: * Ability to communicate with other employees and public * Possesses strong interpersonal skills, is a team player, and promotes positive team environment * Excellent customer service skills * Demonstrates good decision making skills, problem solving techniques, and possesses the ability to prioritize multiple tasks * Ability to use a computer and associated programs * Ability to understand oral and written instructions * Ability to learn and apply pharmacy procedures and interpret prescriptions * Ability to apply basic math skills * Some skill in record keeping * Ability to use computer effectively License/Certifications: * Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with MN State Board * PTCB or ExCPT pharmacy tech certification within 1 year of date of hire, paid for by employee * OR- * Current Intern License with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

SUMMARYHennepin Assault Response Team (HART) has casual, non benefit earning opportunities currently available. Must be available to work primarily NIGHT shift (8 pm - 8 a. m) and at least 40 hours per month. Purpose of this position: Forensic Examiners provide medical forensic services to victims and suspects of sexual assault, human trafficking, and abuse. Forensic Examiners also help assault victims cope with the trauma and consequences of the assault. Victims receive assistance through area hospitals 24 hours a day RESPONSIBILITIESThe Examiner will respond to the Call Center within fifteen (15) minutes of the page and supply an estimated time of arrival to the hospital. The goal is to arrive within 1 hour from the page Provide acute (within 168 hours of a sexual assault) examination of adult and adolescent (13 and older) patients at all contracted facilities Provide acute (within 72 hours of a sexual assault [witnessed, reported, or potential contact with suspect) examination of pediatric patients (under 13 years old) at Hennepin County Medical Center and University of Minnesota Masonic Children's HospitalRespond if assault has occurred within 72 hours (or suspect has had potential contact with patient within prior 72 hours) Depending on the totality of the circumstances, the Forensic Examiner may decide that an acute exam is still warranted even past the 168 hour mark. This decision will be determined with the assistance of the Manager of the Day and/or the Medical DirectorFunctions of a medical-forensic examination include the following: Medical history Assault history Physical exam including identification and documentation of injuries and pain to include photodocumentation Anogenital examination including identification and documentation of injuries and pain to include photodocumentation Collection of forensic evidence (based on interview) Sexually transmitted infection prophylaxis and testing, if indicated Pregnancy testing and emergency contraception, if indicated HIV prophylaxis, if indicated Crisis intervention, and follow-up information and referral Collaboration and case management with Medical Team, Child Protection, Adult Protection, Social Work, and Law Enforcement (if needed) Attend the department's staff meetings Follow the Holiday and Minimum Hour Requirement for casual examiners Meet the minimum of 40 hours of on-call availability Follow the self-scheduling monthly process Be responsible for any equipment provided by the department (camera, memory cards, pager, badge) Maintain chain of custody on all evidence collected and follow procedure for securing evidence Adhere to all HCMC policies set forth by the organization Prep for and appear to testify in all cases in compliance with subpoenas Maintain certifications associated with the work of a forensic examiner Conduct forensic exams and evidence collection for non-sexual assault cases under department protocols QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education/ Work Experience:Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a Registered Nurse.
