JOB SUMMARY: Performs technical tasks that include computer support and technology training for court end users; including training these users with the efficient and effective operation of technology tools, hardware, software and systems. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

Serves as a member of the court technology team that is available to assist the judicial offices in responding to time sensitive requests by deliberating juries for playback of selected trail proceedings during jury deliberations;
Serves as a member of the court technology team that responds to requests to view or purchase archived recordings of court proceedings;
Archives digital court recordings to be in compliance with applicable statutes and court rules;
Serves as a member of the court technology team that ensures operational maintenance of all on site court video conferencing equipment.
Serves as the coordinator and liaison to off-site connections including prisons under the jurisdiction of the Michigan Department of Corrections, Genesee County Jail, Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center, various hospitals, institutions and other District, Probate and Circuit Courts both in and outside of the State of Michigan.

Ensures that daily docket information is timely extracted from the court case management systems for all local courts, to be displayed on ADA compliant public monitors in multiple court locations.
Performs troubleshooting and formatting as needed for court-related document preparation.
Uploads various time sensitive mandatory reports to Michigan Court Application Portal (MCAP) including caseload and collection data.
Verifies the completion and accuracy of several automated system tasks including electronic workflow [Onbase] and other proprietary systems utilized by the court.
Facilitates distance learning connectivity for judicial and court staff.
Repairs, upgrades, and installs computer hardware within authorized guidelines.
Provides support and maintenance associated with court case management systems and end user requirements.
Works closely with both technical and non-technical staff to resolve, document and support a variety of issues and service.
Assists the administrative staff for all of the courts in developing and improving automations for systems management.
Assists the Courts in strategic planning for the implementation of e-filing, e-storage and other system upgrades for the future court environment.

As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may:
Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment.
Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems used in weapons systems.
Support combat systems readiness aboard aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers, and other surface ships.
Work Environment
ETs and FCs serve on fleet units worldwide and at shore-based repair facilities. Expect assignments aboard ships, at remote stations, and in technical repair shops. Work is highly technical, requiring precision and teamwork.

FC Strand Great Lakes, IL (16 weeks)
ET Strand Great Lakes, IL (22 weeks) Training covers electronics theory, radar systems, communications suites, missile and gun system ballistics, troubleshooting, and fiber optics. After A School, technicians may attend advanced C Schools. College credits are often available for Navy training.

Nikon Metrology is seeking an IT Administrator who will be responsible for maintaining the company's IT network, servers, security systems as well as user endpoints such as laptops and mobile devices.
Supporting the local organization, both onsite and remote, across all NMI offices, by investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting IT usage statistics, performing routine configuration and installation of IT solutions and providing technical support and guidance to end users.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years prior experience with providing workstation support
The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional client service required
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills required.
A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects. Attention to detail along with commitment to quality and confidentiality
Full professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
Certificates, License, Registrations:
Associate's degree in Computer Technology or related field. Certifications

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Operating Systems: Proficiency in troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining Windows 10 and 11, Windows server 2016, 2019 and 2022.
Hardware & Software: Ability to diagnose, resolve, and install issues with computers, servers, printers, mobile devices, and various applications.
Networking: Knowledge of network principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and firewalls for network setup and troubleshooting.
IT Service Management (ITSM): Knowledge of frameworks like ITIL and relevant tools.
Security: Understanding and implementing cybersecurity best practices, including managing firewalls, security measures, and data security.
Active Directory & Group Policy: User account management, group management, OU management, Group Policy Object (GPO) configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting
Microsoft Office 365 and other common desktop applications
Awareness of all mainstream mobile technologies (Apple)
Remote Support: Experience using remote access tools for efficient user support
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional business trips to other NM sites
This role may involve working in server rooms or technical environments with controlled temperatures and noise from equipment.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.
Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 pounds) such as servers, monitors, or networking hardware.
