    We are hiring for a Tax Staff Accountant at Kisco Senior Living to produce accurate and timely tax workpapers, tax filings, and supporting tax reports. This role serves as a business partner and resource for management teams, helping to maximize tax-related efficiencies and overall performance. This position is a Hybrid Role reporting to the Carlsbad Office up to 3 days a week. Essential Job Functions Performs the following functions for each assigned legal entity: Produce accurate and timely tax workpapers. Prepare book-to-tax adjustment workpapers for assigned entities, including fixed assets, accrued expenses, partner capital contribution and distribution reconciliations, accrued expenses, debt, equity, and other related items. Review tax reconciliation schedules uploaded to tax returns to ensure all transactions are recorded to the appropriate tax line accounts. Prepare assigned tasks and participate in special projects as needed. Assist with other tax filings, including Forms 1099, annual reports, and federal and state tax filings. Serve as a support resource for the Corporate Tax Services Team. Develop and maintain effective working relationships and two-way communication with internal stakeholders. Provide weekly and daily updates regarding progress on assigned tasks and projects. Ensure all assigned workpapers and, when applicable, tax returns are completed prior to required deadlines. Prepare annual state reports and assist with current-year tax return filings. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. Education, Experience, and Training Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. One (1) year of experience in tax preparation and compliance work for partnerships and other business entities is preferred. Experience with CCH Access Suite is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and basic tax concepts. Self-starter with the ability to manage workload independently and meet critical deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving, and demanding environment with multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work remotely under the supervision of others who are also remote. Strong analytical skills. As a member of the IP Team, you will be responsible for providing guidance on a wide range of IP legal matters related to the cancer diagnostics field.
