La Gloria company history timeline

1954

Antonia Behar is the wife of Manuel Sanchez Behar, and has been instrumental to the company’s success since its founding in 1954.

After Rocha’s death in 1954, La Gloria Cubana along with Bolivar Cigars were bought by the Cifuentes family while both brands’ production was moved to the Partagas Cigars factory, where they are manufactured to this day.

In 2009, Manuel Sanchez Behar was honored by the Tortilla Industry Association as a pioneer of the tortilla industry.
