Responsible for performing some/all of the following material handling activities
Order Picking - pick orders for shipment according to instructions on bill of lading or pick sheet and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped in an accurate method.
Order Packing - pack orders for shipment in a way that reduces the ability for damage to occur in transit.

Primary Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Network Optimization Senior Manager will lead the design, analysis, and execution of supply chain network strategies across our large-scale distribution operations. This role is responsible for evaluating and modeling end-to-end network flows - from thousands of suppliers to several thousand store delivery points - to ensure optimal balance between warehouse operating costs, transportation costs, and inventory carrying costs. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead network optimization initiatives to evaluate distribution center footprints, transportation flows, and run cost analysis.
* Use advanced scenario modeling and what-if analysis to assess cost, service level, and inventory trade-offs.
* Develop and maintain network models leveraging best-in-class optimization software tools (e.g., Llamasoft, Coupa, Blue Yonder, ALX or equivalent).
* Drive hub-and-spoke network design decisions, assortment placement strategies, and distribution footprint analyses.
* Partner with Operations to understand labor productivity impacts of network and assortment decisions.

Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and responsible for all driver compliance and company regulations while working with internal and external contacts to ensure the accurate planning, routing, monitoring, and delivery of freight and loads. The transportation manager must be able to work any shift to satisfy the demand for flexibility in scheduling to ensure operational success. This includes, but is not limited to, day, night, and weekend shifts and ensuring that coverage is accounted for.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize ongoing productivity
+ Fill in for absent or unavailable personnel and on special projects related to optimizing fleet operations and achieving profitability
+ Utilize personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and/or employees including the training and assistance with internal and third-party (customer) systems
+ Conduct analysis of fleet operations and profitability and make recommendations for continuous improvement, determine and measure key performance indicators, and create, maintain, and present customer-specific reporting and financial analysis through face-to-face and/or virtual interactions at customer locations
+ Manage inventory, assets, customer pools, and/or assignment of drivers to balance equipment in market
+ Perform administrative duties such as payroll, driver counseling, accident reviews, filing and documenting, resolving pay issues, invoicing, and/or creating operational or financial reports
+ Manage yard including checking/inspecting equipment, replacing parts (like mud flaps), completing repairs, etc., and coordinate with maintenance to ensure all regular preventative maintenance services are scheduled on time and all safety-related mechanical issues are fixed for account equipment (as required)
+ Work with drivers, customers, and company personnel to resolve service issues, routing and/or planning, mechanical problems, accessorial pay-related issues, etc. as they occur throughout the day and, where necessary, when on-call
+ Maintain the Company's safety culture to include daily driver safety messages, monthly driver safety briefings, quarterly driver training, annual reviews, and enforce company policies to ensure DOT compliance and company safety requirements are being met
+ Assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions on that freight and driver ETA adjustments based on pick-up and delivery schedules, and other environmental factors on the road

+ High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience
+ The ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
