Her 10-years of experience working within the non-profit field in Dallas began at The Bridge to most recently as the Director of Income Impact at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. In her current role, she implements the Community Impact Grants funding process. Two years ago, she took on the role of strengthening non-profits in Southern Dallas. In conjunction with University of North Texas at Dallas and the State Fair of Texas, local nonprofits in the southern sector participate in a six-month technical assistance program. The cohort is taught by experts in marketing, fund development, and financial management. Year two of this initiative has gained more momentum and left an indelible mark on new and existing agencies working with the impoverished of Dallas. This model work will soon be replicating to Collin County. Nissy has a Master’s in Social Work from UT Arlington and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from UT Dallas. She resides in Dallas with her husband and one amazing but bossy one-year old daughter.
