As a Capability Lead in the Connected Sales & Marketing team, you will be focused on one of Microsoft's most cutting-edge marketing technology capabilities with tremendous growth potential - customer-facing AI Agents. These agents guide customers through their eCommerce journeys across multiple touchpoints and surfaces, interacting via web chat, email and other modalities. This role's objective is to deliver a major contribution to AI transformation of Microsoft marketing by enabling the deployment of intelligent AI Agents as a standard capability for Microsoft marketers for their GTM campaigns. This will involve standardization, optimization and then automation & tooling of operational processes like passing new domain knowledge to agents, setting up of agent-driven promo campaign, targeting best contacts to engage with an agent in a compliant manner, and many others. Working in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams, this role provides a unique opportunity to gain deep exposure to modern go-to-market strategies while working hands-on with the next frontier of AI-driven automation and personalization. Translate ambiguous business goals into standard business processes for agents, define success metrics, and experiment plans; validate impact via A/B tests and holdouts.
Lead the end-to-end rollout of customer-facing AI Agents as a standard marketing capability: from standardized manual processes to fully-automated optimized self-serve capabilities enabling repeatable and scaled deployment across GTM campaigns.
Maintain high-quality documentation for Marketers on these evolving processes.
Create clear and detailed requirements to automate these processes.
Operationalize agent knowledge management: define ingestion/refresh cadences, taxonomies, and QA for product, offer, and policy content; in partnership with Engineering establish guardrails and drift monitoring.
Build and evolve processes and tooling for compliant targeting and activation (consent, suppression, frequency, geo/segment eligibility) across channels like web chat, email, and in-product.
Define and maintain KPI frameworks (engagement, conversion, revenue influence, CSAT/NPS, safety/quality), instrument telemetry, and publish executive-ready readouts.
Partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering lead a v-team to enable operational capabilities aligned with shaping roadmaps, prioritizing high-ROI scenarios, and unblocking adoption in a global, matrixed organization.
Champion Responsible AI: privacy, security, fairness, transparency, and brand safety; ensure adherence to Microsoft policies, legal requirements, and regional regulations.

Required/minimum qualifications

Are you interested in Backend Development? We're building the next-generation data infrastructure, including storage, streams, media and analytics platforms. Help us scale LinkedIn infrastructure to handle massive data growth across the LinkedIn ecosystem as we experience dramatic growth in membership and products. You will utilize distributed systems and algorithms and perfect your strong systems orientation skills (multi-threading, concurrency, scalability, performance). You will understand frameworks for caching, queuing, and distributed data storage, and be excited to work on cutting edge open-source systems.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a master's degree program, with an expected graduation date December 2026 or later.
Our internships are 12 weeks in length and will have the option of two intern sessions

The ideal intern candidate will help scale LinkedIn's infrastructure to handle massive growth in membership, traffic, and data as we continue to experience dramatic growth in the usage of our products with focus in one or more of the areas below
+ Data Infrastructure: Build and support large scale systems (e.g. Apache Kafka, Apache Samza, Hadoop, Pinot, Espresso, Ambry, Helix etc.) and tools that enable the generation of insights and data products on all of LinkedIn's internal and external data via self-serve computing, reporting solutions, and interactive querying
+ Search, Networks and Analytics: Build and operate the platform that powers all of search at LinkedIn- which responds to thousands of queries per second with target latencies in tens of milliseconds. The platform runs in 24/7 production environment and enables search quality engineers to rapidly innovate, experiment and improve relevance- while at the same time remaining constantly available and performant to our users
+ Service: Provide the technical platform for all of LinkedIn Engineering to build services, which are the essential unit of development and deployment
+ Content and Community: Deliver the systems and algorithms that generate and serve feeds of professionally relevant activities and content
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a MS Degree in Computer Science, or related technical field and
returning to the program after the completion of the internship.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, C/C++, C#,
Python, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of core computer science concepts such as object-oriented design, algorithm
design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a short-cycle, agile, iterative development team.
- Knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms,
software design, and object-oriented skills.
