Set up options and pricing in Purchasing software (Brix by Hyphen Solutions). Evaluate current option pricing/margins on a quarterly basis. Work with the design team to ensure they have the appropriate product and upgrades to meet customer demands and trends. Evaluate and investigate VPO spend and work with Construction Managers to help solve potential issues. Identify potential supply chain issues and assist the Director of Purchasing in finding viable solutions to these issues. Identify and execute new and innovative ways to buyout a project through bulk buy strategies, new products and supply chain rationalization. Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in construction science or other related study preferred. Driver's license required. You will join a diverse team of 9 skilled buyers in a dynamic environment where we transform the supply chain. Our client is a leading manufacturer with a high profile brand. The packaging team covers Disposable-, Returnable- and Type bound Packaging as well as packaging services such as Maintenance and Container Management for both production and aftermarket. You will be assigned certain categories/projects from the above described packaging portfolio. Your responsibility will be to participate and/or lead specific sourcing initiatives, implement them and manage commercial relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. The right candidate has ideally a background within packaging or related supply chain services and a good knowledge of procurement & project management.Responsibilities Reduce total cost of ownership within your assigned commodity scope Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders Lead cross-functional sourcing projects & purchasing governance structures Challenge status quo Facilitate sourcing specification documentation and prepare legal agreements Ensure purchasing processes are followed and enhanced Qualifications Ability to work co-operatively in teams and to independently drive and complete tasks Very good excel and power point knowledge Multiyear purchasing experience within the professional services area University degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and/or Business High integrity and professionalism Business and performance driven Strong negotiation skills Able to understand the purchasing elements and optimize the business in the best interest for the company Good communication skills and positive mindset Strategic understanding and thinking You are talented in planning and leading own and other's efforts Structured and Analytical Able to effectively collaborate with peers in other functions and with colleagues in other businesses or divisions Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
