Job Summary:
Senior Sourcing Specialist will manage new product requests, ad hoc sourcing requirements, and cost saving project initiatives across a range of commodities. Working with new and existing suppliers they will identify purchasing sources for products to achieve functional improvements, cost savings, and improved lead-times.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic sourcing of products and suppliers to support open enquiries
Support sales staff with technical queries on product and identify solutions for our customers
Ensure timely turnaround on all customer enquiries to enable the best customer service experience
Negotiate pricing, deals, contracts and delivery schedules with suppliers
Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, build on current product offering, and create additional value for customer base
Conduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvements
Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers to ensure high quality & cost-effective solutions
Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop business and maximize opportunities
Manage tender enquiries and negotiation of contracts
Work as part of a dynamic and experienced team to help achieve company goals
Develop a strong understanding of our product offering, supplier base, competitive landscape, and customer applications
Required Qualifications:
Qualification or 4 years relevant experience
A background in supply chain or sourcing preferred
Experience in supplier evaluation, negotiation & selection
Proven ability to identify solutions and problem solve
Must be comfortable and capable working in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational & administration skills
Ability to absorb technical information of products
Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
Good computer skills (MS Office), SAP ERP experience highly desirable
Flexible & Pro-active attitude with an ability to think strategically

Primary Responsibilities
Order & Shipment Coordination:
Manage daily order allocations and special packaging needs, coordinating with growers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Oversee repack adjustments to address demand fluctuations or shortages.
Grower Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary daily contact for growers, maintaining clear and consistent communication. Facilitate collaboration with packinghouse managers and grower liaison teams to align production and delivery schedules.
Supply Chain Planning & Execution:
Develop long-term grower programs, oversee legal contract compliance, and evaluate growers' operational capabilities. Support strategic purchasing during shortages and manage packaging inventory flow.
Inventory Management:
Maintain optimal product and packaging inventory levels, monitor turnover, and prevent product aging or obsolescence. Review and assess grower production forecasts for accuracy and alignment with demand.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Quality Control, etc.) and attend regular supply chain meetings to ensure alignment and efficient decision-making.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and report KPIs such as grower compliance and on-time delivery performance. Propose improvements and identify opportunities for strategic grower visits and operational efficiency.
General Support:
Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned to support the success of the supply chain and company operations.
Minimum Experience/Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in administrative and logistics roles, preferably in the agricultural or perishable goods industry
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Agribusiness, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical skills with experience developing metrics, reports, and forecasts
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Effective interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization
