hair artist in training program We are looking for hair artists to take the next steps in their professional journey - all levels of experience are welcome! Our Hair Artists at PENZONE Salons + Spas will be able to advance through the training program at their own pace, mastering specific skills while working behind the chair at BASE ONE, our training concept salon + spa. Upon completion of the training program, artists will get their chair at a PENZONE Salons + Spas location. This program is new + innovative, allowing artists to get behind the chair, doing what they love, equipped with the knowledge + skillset necessary for success in the industry. Job Responsibilities Based on your confidence, experience + existing skill, your training program at PENZONE will be customized to support you. Artists will be working behind the chair at PENZONE x BASE ONE on guests paying base prices for services. Recent graduates needing additional support will start as an apprentice with a mentor in the PENZONE Salon + Spa locations. Hair Artists will complete learning modules with a combination of hands-on and online training. There is an opportunity to advance out of each module. Program can be completed in as little as 2 months, based on performance. If required, additional time is offered to assist our team members in mastering skills. Our Hair Artists are provided opportunities for promotion and advancement through our four levels (Stylist, Designer, Director + Senior Director) after completion of program. Review, analyze, and determine the impact of customer comments and redlines, and help the team determine actions to resolve comments and follow through with management and/or customers. Strong communication skills are required to interface with technical writers regarding requirements for illustrations. Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated. Must be able to learn new software tools quickly. Contribute to continuous improvement objectives to achieve delivery and quality goals. Track the status of graphic requests. Participate in quality checking through analysis of source data, writer redlines, and customer specifications. Complete assigned training promptly. Required Qualifications: 2 or 4-year degree/or equivalent experience. 3+ years' experience in developing technical illustrations for commercial or military programs (SVG, CGM, etc.). Experience as a Technical Illustrator, Graphic Designer, or a similar role. Portfolio showcasing technical illustration work. Proficiency in illustration and design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Solid understanding of engineering drawings and 3D modeling principles. Familiar with S1000D specification. Excellent attention to detail and ability to simplify complex technical concepts. Strong organizational and communication skills. Strong relationship-building, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in pressure situations and to meet tight deadlines.
