Position Description:
The New Business Policy Representative is responsible for managing life new business applications from the time of submit through policy delivery. This position must accurately interpret and fulfill all requirements necessary for accurate processing, and act as the liaison between underwriting, agents, and medical vendors to obtain all requirements needed to render an underwriting decision on a policy. The position must follow current procedures in accordance with industry/state regulations, internal/external audit recommendations, and compliance directives. The position must be able to learn and retain knowledge of all products currently offered to new sales, read and interpret sales illustrations, and understand policy riders and how they function. Associates are the front line of communication with our field partners and are expected to maintain readiness in our zero line and answer phone calls from agents, as well as monitor their email inbox and reply to all requests within 24 hours. Associates work with other departments internally within the scope of case management.

Position Location:
This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.
What you do:
Research customer needs and problems; develop informed, innovative solutions; and decisive action within defined parameters of authority; to build customer loyalty while maintaining the financial and procedural integrity of the case. This includes assisting customers/producers via phone and email.
Manages an average caseload of 70-90 new applications a month at various stages in the underwriting process.
Field customer inquiries and utilize empathy and patience with all customers.
Utilize web-based systems in a paperless environment to order, retrieve, manage case activity, and organize underwriting requirements.
Responsible for working in a cross-functional team environment with a sense of urgency.
Meeting or exceeding service standards with respect to accuracy, turnaround time and overall quality of work product and service.
Understand basic accounting skills and know how to move money from different accounts doing journal entries, as well as research any accounting issues that may arise with missing debits or credits
Correspond with Legal and Compliance departments as necessary for assistance in handling complex cases and customer complaints.
Handle and complete assignments and projects within provided timeframes.
What you bring:
High School Diploma or GED required
0-2 years of related experience, 1 year of experience in a customer service environment highly preferred
Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is preferred
Strong technical skills, typing skills, and the ability to multitask and move between several systems at the same time.
Clear, concise and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment and problem solving in a professional area.
Excellent time management/organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in fast-paced environment; possess a strong commitment to driving down turnaround time.

Responsibilities
* Ensures exceptional service delivery and execution for complex, enterprise accounts, ensuring that procedures, processes, data collection and reporting are all executed in a timely and precise manner.
* Builds and maintains strong client engagement through:
* Frequent interactions with sales and services verticals.
* Acting as the voice of the client or customer.
* Monitoring key account health metrics and internal SOP compliance.

Requirements
* Degree requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Sales or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* 100% ONSITE position in our beautiful Wilmington, Ohio facility.
* Strong relationship building skills; excellent communication and follow-through.
* Strong organizational knowledge and ability to drive flawless execution to standards and SOPs.
* Highly collaborative and able to influence Sr. Leadership to drive improvements and change based on client feedback
* Ability to listen to client needs and identify solutions.
* Proven experience managing projects and delivering expectations, both internally and directly with clients.
* Proven success at working collaboratively with sales, PMOs, and technical solutions providers to solve strategic problems.
* Excellent skills in developing documentation, creating reporting and leading business reviews; intermediate to advanced Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills.
* Working knowledge of IT solutions including provisioning, data center, networking, security, in and out of warranty repairs and ITAD.
* Working knowledge of JDA ERP and OMS to understand lifecycle of an order.
* Working knowledge of typical client asset management systems, such as Asana and Service Now.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain donor database and keep it current
Process gift entry, send gift acknowledgement correspondence, including tax documents
Assist in preparing reports and analyzing demographic data
Review and process online gifts
Work with Advancement Services Manager and Finance to process accounting of gifts, monthly reconciliation and annual audits
Respond to donor, volunteer and staff requests in a timely manner
Manage supply inventory
Assist in the planning and execution of Advancement related events, including fundraising events, donor cultivation and stewardship activities
Track event registration and provide accounting support including sponsorship billing and reports
Manage reports in the donor database to ensure reliability
Collaborate in keeping procedure manual up to date
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree preferred or related experience.
Experience with database management, fundraising, and donor relations preferred
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional customer service
