Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop field teams of 11 people per AR site or 7 people per SSD site, working on a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off site rotation schedule
- Establish a relentless high bar team with regards of safety and quality of installations
- Drive end-to-end accountability for successful installation, integration, and commissioning of complex technical projects
- Establish standardized work processes, training programs, and operational excellence initiatives to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables
- Collaborate with Central and Quality teams to define and achieve safety, timeline, cost, and quality metrics
- Develop site leaders who maintain complete ownership of installations through dedicated teams, standardized work, and comprehensive training

Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

- 7+ years of people management experience, including managing managers

Responsibilities

2. Prioritizes employee workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of specific CJIS objectives. Fosters team collaboration and recommends improvements to increase unit efficiency.

III. Site Manager Compensations/Accommodations
o The Site Manager shall be an employee of J&A, Inc. and shall be compensated for services rendered with a salary determined by J&A, Inc.
o The Site Manager shall be covered under the J&A, Inc worker's compensation plan and other benefits negotiated between the Regional Manager, Human Resources and the employee.
o The Site Manager shall be notified of all the benefits under the adopted plan.
o IF the Site Manager is required to live on-site, he/she will be provided a free rental unit and is exempt from the requirements of the landlord/tenant law. It is considered a tenancy for a specified period only (e.g. employment), and will end on the same day that employment is terminated. Reasonable effort will be made to give the Site Manager sufficient time to move, but as the efficient operation of the property is predicated upon the presence of a Site Manager, the transitional period necessarily must be very short. This is a condition of employment as a Site Manager. It is expected that the Site Manager will negotiate reasonable terms with the Corporate Office and move expeditiously, even if his/her termination is involuntary. In a rare circumstance when an ex-Site manager refuses to leave and efforts to negotiate vacancy of the manager's quarters fail, the Company will be forced to consider the person a trespasser and call the police for assistance.

The Site Foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating all landside operations at the dredge material placement area during maintenance dredging activities. This position oversees the fill crew, manages equipment operations, and ensures that fill placement, containment, and drainage activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and environmental standards.
Essential functions (This is not all-inclusive)
Supervise and coordinate 2-3 land-based operators during fill site operations
Direct the setup and maintenance of discharge pipelines, containment dykes, weir structures, and drainage control systems
Monitor site conditions to maintain target grades, slopes, and material distribution
Oversee dozer, loader, and excavator operations to ensure efficient fill placement and site access
Communicate daily with the dredge crew, survey team, and project management to adjust discharge locations and optimize production
Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure full compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and company safety requirements
Inspect fill lines, discharge points, and heavy equipment to identify hazards, leaks, or maintenance needs
Track and document equipment hours, utilization, and condition for reporting and preventive maintenance planning
Maintain good site organization, housekeeping, and erosion control measures at all times
Troubleshoot operational or mechanical issues and coordinate corrective action.
Ensure all fill site activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications and environmental regulations
Upholds the Company's commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practices
Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures
Works safely around machinery; observes and instructs others in proper equipment use; uses/wears all required PPE
Ensures team members are provided a safe work environment and are knowledgeable of safe work practices and policies
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in dredging, earthwork, or heavy civil construction, including 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role
Strong understanding of maintenance dredging operations and fill site management, including pipeline discharge systems and material handling
Proficiency in operating or supervising heavy equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, and excavators
Ability to read and interpret grade stakes, site plans, and fill layouts
Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify and address minor mechanical or hydraulic issues
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven commitment to jobsite safety and environmental compliance
Physically able to work outdoors in variable conditions and lift up to 75 lbs. as needed
Must provide reliable transportation to and from the project site
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description
Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (observed drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing
