NEW Substitute Teacher/Aide/Nurse/Secretary

THIS APPLICATION IS ONLY FOR PERSONS WHO ARE NOT ON THE CURRENT 2025-26 APPROVED SUBSTITUTE LIST. * It is the desire of the Port Neches-Groves Independent School District to have substitute teachers who hold Texas Teaching Certificates. Non-certified substitute teachers are used when certified substitutes are unavailable. In pursuit of this aim, three classifications of substitute teachers are maintained.
* A Class I substitute is one who holds a four-year degree and certified to teach in the public schools of Texas
* A Class II substitute is one who has a four-year degree but is not certified
* A Class III substitute is one has neither the four-year degree nor certificate
Associate degrees are classified as Class III
Official approval will be given when all necessary transcripts, certificates and forms have been submitted and mandatory attendance at the substitute in-service has been verified.
