ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Schedule all field activities, beginning with the pre-construction meeting (coordinate with sales and design personnel on completing the Preconstruction Package and Meeting Template) to schedule installation (check for permit and approved plans).Visit job site regularly to push coordination of work with other trades. Coordinate with customer, AHJ's, Designers and others relevant to ensure clarification of the project. Work in the field to install systems along with foreman and apprentices. In coordination with ASH Manager, schedule staffing for each week using the Weekly Manpower Report and schedule all jobs over a 3-month period using the 3 Month Manpower Planning Report which is updated twice each month. Establish materials on job dates based on project schedule. Get all material, plans, and information to the Foreman in charge before the job starts. Ensure contact with project GC/Superintendent to ensure they know you and the assigned Foreman are points of contact for the project. Coordination with purchasing department or office POC to ensure all materials are ordered and delivered. Purchase or rent all equipment needed for each job and specific need. Follow up on punch-lists and ensure the customer signs off when completed. Report any scheduling issues, personnel issues, safety concerns, or incidents to your direct supervisor in a timely manner. Ensure all assigned employees are complying with their job requirements and assigned tasks. Review all field employees per company policy. In cases where disciplinary action is required, suspensions and terminations are to be coordinated with the FA&S Manager with appropriate documentation entered in personnel files. Position Overview The Superintendent at MCIS is a key field leader responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence, leading the Basic Installation Unit (BIU) assigned. In this capacity, you will manage day-to-day site execution, direct and coordinate subcontractors, and provide operational oversight across manpower, equipment, and readiness. You will act as the primary on-site liaison between the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders, while also maintaining situational awareness and reporting BIU readiness to leadership. Key Responsibilities Field & Site Management Supervise all field activities on the jobsite, including structure, personnel, finishes, and site work. Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and safety standards Verify delivery, staging, and storage of materials and equipment in coordination with logistics. Prepare and deliver BIU operational briefings to senior leadership, covering metrics, status updates, and emerging issues Respond to operational disruptions, initiate contingency plans, and oversee recovery efforts. Monitor communication flow across all active BIU teams, ensuring timely updates and shift transitions Safety & Quality Enforcement Enforce all MCIS and OSHA safety standards, policies, and procedures Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure team members use proper PPE Participate in safety audits, report incidents, and coordinate corrective actions Conduct regular inspections to verify workmanship meets MCIS quality standards Coordinate inspections with local authorities and third-party inspectors Progress Tracking & Reporting Maintain thorough documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, photos, and field reports. Track and report operational status, safety observations, and BIU readiness metrics. Assist with punch list completion and project closeout Workforce Development Mentor and develop foremen, solution team leaders, and other field personnel within your BIU. Support training initiatives, readiness programs, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Expected Working Hours Standard hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (EST).
