Qualifications * Possess or have the ability to acquire appropriate licensure in Illinois to serve as a paraprofessional * Paraprofessionals meet qualifications by possessing either of the following: * A Short-term Approval as a Paraprofessional (Reference this ISBE document for information) * A Paraprofessional Educator Endorsement (Reference this ISBE document for information) * A Substitute teacher license (Reference this ISBE document for information) * A Professional Educator License * Prior experience in an educational or child care setting is beneficial * Ability to work collaboratively and follow teacher instructions. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Commitment to maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality. * Willingness to complete required licensure and training, including Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). * Ability to meet physical requirements, such as assisting with mobility needs when necessary. * Ability to speak Spanish, Ukranian, Russian preferred Compensation and Benefits * Competitive hourly wage based with a starting rate on the Teacher Assistant Salary Schedule at Step 0 with no experience as a teacher or paraprofessional or Step 1 with one or more years of experience as a teacher or paraprofessional * Comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
