Key Responsibilities:
Job Onboarding: Lead the introduction of new products or jobs into production, ensuring readiness and alignment with plant capabilities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience); 2- or 4-year degree or 2-4 years of related experience/training acceptable.
Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in labels or similar industries.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Math skills (including Algebra) and knowledge of printing/converting materials and technologies.
Excellent communication and training skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to travel for internal and customer visits and trials.

Occasional lifting of rolls/samples up to 40-45 lbs.
Work around coating and slitting equipment; safety shoes may be required.

Overview
Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking Product Test Technicians on 2nd Shift at our Mayville, WI facility. As a Product Test Technician for Scag Power Equipment, you will be primarily responsible for daily operation of equipment according to designated test procedures. The equipment tested and operated in this role, is primarily turf care and landscaping equipment, such as lawn mowers, mini-track loaders and wheel loaders. This position will require work in both indoor and outdoor environments, with a large majority of the time being spent outdoors. You will also support the test engineering department in other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Test equipment operation according to test plan
Perform and document maintenance checks at specified regular intervals
Fill out daily test log documentation
Reports issues to test team
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Shift: This position follows our 5-2-2-5 rotating night shift schedule. You'll work five nights on, five nights off, two nights on, two nights off-giving you a great work-life balance with regular extended breaks.
Shifts are 12 hours, starting at 4:30 PM and ending at 4:30 AM.
It's a consistent, predictable rotation that gives you built-in time off without using PTO.
What you'll do:
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems to keep operations running smoothly
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and equipment calibrations to optimize performance and reliability
Work hands-on with hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems
Safely operate and maintain industrial tools and mobile equipment including cranes and forklifts
Partner with Electrical Maintenance Technicians to tackle cross-functional maintenance tasks
Always prioritize safety by strictly adhering to protocols such as lockout/tagout, fall protection, and confined space entry procedures
What you will bring:

Strong skills in:

Proficient in rigging and lifting procedures

Perform a somewhat diverse range of operations to install a variety of electrical components and purchased accessories to our machine tool products. Perform regular vehicle inspections per manufacturer's standards, including testing and measurement, verifying safe and proper operation.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal performance
Identify the solution to issues and the cost to repair.
Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs, and requisitions new parts and equipment.
Maintain parts inventory and identify critical spares
Document all maintenance and repairs in the work order system while maintaining service logs
Serve as a back-up trainer that can certify new hires on equipment as well as recertifying current employees
Perform automobile and light truck repairs by disassembling and overhauling engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and other assemblies.
Replaces worn or broken parts, aligns wheels, adjusts brakes, tightens bearings, tunes engines, etc.
Performs minor body work.
Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
May be required to assist millwrights as workload allows
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Candidate must be either a millwright or a mechanic that possesses previous applicable experience
Canddiate must have the ability to use hand and power tools, read repair manuals, have excellent mechanical and electrical repair skills and analytical and problem solving skills
Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, up to an estimated 75lbs required
Lift & carry materials weighing up to an estimated 50 lbs.
Candidates are exposed to long term standing
Candidates must have the ability to work independently and in a team
Travel is required between three facilities (all within 4 miles) as needed.
Hours: This position will work Monday-Friday from 6A-2P. Overtime will be required when the business demands require it, as outlined by Supervision. Candidates must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and/or swing shifts as required Monday through Sunday if the demands of the position change.
