This is a 9-month field service project requiring a mix of local travel (within driving distance, home nightly) and regional travel that involves weekly overnight stays from Sunday through Thursday when flying to client sites.
Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM, with occasional overtime based on travel or site workload. Even during travel weeks, Fridays will be reserved for a remote meeting with the team lead once the technician returns home.
Role is 100% onsite at client locations; no remote work outside of Friday meetings.
A valid state driver's license (Real ID compliant), a clean MVR, and a reliable personal vehicle are required for daily field travel.
Top required skills are electro-mechanical troubleshooting and printer hardware break-fix experience. A Lexmark certification is preferred but not required.
Ideal candidates will have 2-3+ years of field service or hardware repair experience (printers, PCs, POS systems, etc.).
No on-call rotation and no shift differentials for this assignment.
Daily mileage will vary depending on assigned client locations; candidates must reside within 75 miles of Eldron, MO 65026.
Required Skills & Experience

Job Details
This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket.
You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.
You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.
You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.
Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.

As an Outside Plant (OSP) Maintenance Technician, you will focus on the installation, repair, and maintenance of the GFiber physical plant in the Last Mile Network. You will diagnose and correct all service impacting root causes from the OSP Distribution cables to the customer's premise equipment. You will assist vendor partners to develop expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of last mile plant, while continuing to provide coverage for downstream portions of our network infrastructure.

Ensure continuous residential and small business services by identifying and resolving service-disrupting issues spanning from the OSP Distribution cables to customer premise equipment within the GFiber network.
Diagnose and correct issues with network connectivity, including drop cabling, network interface units, patch panels, media cabinets, and Optical Network Terminals (ONTs).
Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to inside wiring, powering systems, and network devices.
Network Infrastructure:
Install, restore, or maintain aerial and underground cable plants according to GFiber Standards.
Customer Service:
Navigate complex customer interactions with exceptional client service, professionalism, and thoroughness.
Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external customers.
Cultivate relationships with property managers and building owners through advanced technical knowledge, effective communication, and collaboration.

Ability to operate GSuite (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc) and Salesforce applications.
Ability to safely operate bucket vehicles that elevate up to 25 feet above ground.

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri S&T is seeking an electronics technician to serve various roles, including setting up and maintaining the instructional lab equipment at the MSU campus, based on the course schedule. The technician will also be responsible for assisting in the development of new equipment and experiment systems for the mechanical engineering cooperative program at MSU. As time allows, the technician will assist in development, construction and maintenance of both instructional lab and research lab equipment for the S&T campus Mechanical and Aerospace department. Therefore, the successful candidate must be a motivated, independent, electronics technician capable of handling multiple tasks and projects in multiple locations.
This position will require frequent travel to the MSU campus labs and coordination between his duties on the two campuses.
Primary duties and attributes:
* Work as part of a team to construct, install, set-up and maintain instructional and research lab equipment in the Mechanical Engineering department, in labs both on the S&T campus and on the MSU campus
* Have some mechanical skills as well as a good base in electronics and computers
* Schedule tasks to ensure that experiments are set up and ready to run at the appropriate time and that all the required materials and supplies are in place

Knowledge of basic math skills

Sufficient in Allen Bradley, Rockwell Industrial Automation brand or other Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) language

Preferred Education and Experience
The expectation is that the individual has achieved a minimum level of education and/or related expertise to qualify for this position.
A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Associate's Degree in relevant mechanical/technical field or enrollment in a mechanical/technical program or equivalent work experience is required.
Minimum two years related work experience within an operations environment with a strong mechanical/technical skillset preferred
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. These hours are subject to change based upon company needs.
