JOB SUMMARY
Under Minimum supervision, the Equipment Tech responds to calls for respiratory therapy equipment and compressed gas cylinders needs throughout the hospital. Responsible for the delivery of compressed gas cylinders, maintenance of respiratory care equipment and support of the respiratory care services staff. Performs all duties that are required of a respiratory care support services technician. Oversees and indirectly manages student tech activities within the department. Also, ensures that all tech services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of administrative, secretarial and complex clerical duties for the team. Follows complex oral and written instructions, uses independent judgment and word processing software, follows established office procedures and is familiar with departmental and hospital policies. Performs various clerical and administrative duties depending on administrators needs which may include collecting and preparing data for management assignments, reports and presentations and assisting with monitoring department QI/PI initiatives. Appropriately direct calls takes accurate messages or responds to calls by utilizing knowledge of policies procedures and practices. Works to support audiovisual needs of the dept and produces educational videos and power points for staff meetings, educational events and QI/PI tracking initiatives.

Position overview:
The Electrical Technician will provide support to plant operations through troubleshooting, performing maintenance, repairing and installing of equipment, electrical systems and components. This position works on a rotational four on four off 12-hour schedule. This opening will be scheduled 5pm-5am. The starting rate of pay is $38.5006 with an additional $2 an hour shift differential.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Technician's responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems and devices within the plant
Knowledge and solid understanding of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
Edit PLC programming
Diagnose component issues
Assist in new installations and upgrades of plant equipment
Conduct process checks as required
Perform regular safety inspections to ovens
Work with and lead outside contractors as needed to complete projects or various plant maintenance functions
Keep work area safe, clean and organized
Assist and support other production floor operations as required

Vaccine Instrumentation apprentices at Marietta will spend approx. 1 day per week studying towards an Associate's degree in Biotechnology or Engineering at our partner community college. You will spend most of your week working in our manufacturing facilities, rotating through different departments, receiving tailored on-the-job training from our in-house industry experts. Over the 3- 4 years of the apprenticeship you will have a personal training program to help you develop and progress.
What will you do?
As an instrumentation apprenticeship technician, you may get involved in the following activities:
* Assist with complex manufacturing processes in a highly automated, regulated environment - ensuring quality, safety and accuracy in all that we do
* Operate our specialized highly automated equipment to manufacture our products
* Monitor and analyze production processes and data, utilizing various instruments and control systems.
* Work in teams to continuously improve the functionality of our automated equipment and processes
* Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others and the protection of the environment
* Adopt a safety first, quality always mindset.
* Contribute to a continuous improvement environment, participation in daily tier meetings, and scheduling needs as applicable
* Assure all documentation (logbooks, etc.) are complete and accurate
* Complete all GSK required Site, EHS, Instrumentation, Regulatory and Global training
What are we looking for?
* Ability to follow directions and complete daily assignments with minimal supervision
* Capability to handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks independently
* Willingness to support more complex projects under the guidance of experienced technicians
* Interest in developing your skills in instrumentation and metrology through both OJT, completing assignments with more senior technicians, from formal GSK training
