Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance. Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits. Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention. Maintains company propriety and documentation in accordance with established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adheres to and supports Securitas Technology policies and procedures including all safety requirements. Abacus Technology is seeking a Cable Technician to install, remove, and relocate common telephone systems equipment in support of Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Support daily maintenance and troubleshooting, engineering and installation and testing of copper and fiber optic inside and outside plants, both classified and unclassified systems. Configure/install/implement/test/troubleshoot all high-speed copper and fiber cabling distributed across the campus in a converged architecture. Monitor all hardware 'stock items' to assure proper level are maintained. Provide materials list and labor estimates for upcoming project work. Update and maintain cable topology drawings/fiber availability drawings using AutoCAD. Document/update new processes and changed processes. Install communications backboards, rack and equipment cabinets where needed. Install fiber optic cabling direct buried, and or using campus manhole/conduit systems.
