RAFT is seeking a full-time Corporate Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to lead our dynamic corporate volunteer program. In this role, you'll identify new prospects and maintain current relationships with corporate and community partners who support the assembly of RAFT's hands-on learning kits for local educators and students. You'll coordinate volunteer events, assist with fundraising initiatives, and collaborate across teams to deliver an exceptional and meaningful volunteer experience.

Job Description
EDMO's summer team members spend 6 weeks of summer connecting with kids, honing leadership skills, and making a real impact - all while rocking wacky costumes and getting pied in the face! Our summer positions offer a unique opportunity to help kids uncover hidden talents and dive deeper into existing talents. Spend your summer pursuing your goals and developing invaluable, transferrable professional skills (including problem solving, management, and coaching).
The Site Assistant is the life line of camp, training on and being ready to hold any position that camp has to offer including Camp Director. Leading up to camp, Site Assistants will train on every role that camp has to offer. Once summer begins, Site Assistants are responsible for filling in wherever they are needed. When they are not subbing for a camp role, they will assist the Camp Director with operational oversight pertaining to their assigned location with a focus on coaching and mentoring other site staff. In addition to a full time summer component, this job includes a part-time spring component that includes training and preparation for camp.
Main duties include:
Participating in any pre-camp training, professional development, or in season meetings
Subbing for any role needed including Counselor, Instructor and Camp Director
Helping the Camp Director manage all aspects of Camp EDMO daily operations
Assisting Camp Director with management of other on site summer programs that are not EDMO (Salinas Location Only)
Coaching, mentoring and training site Instructors and Counselors
Providing high caliber customer service by anticipating and addressing any kid, staff or parent challenges and/or concerns

* Assist the Outdoor Adventures and Rental Center Supervisor with pre-trip and post-trip administration tasks including but not limited to: designing itineraries and communicating with participants for trips.

You must have an appropriate combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience to meet the total qualification requirements for the GS-05 grade level. Assist in the implementation of the Art Restores Kids (ARK) program at schools, Cricket's House and Camp Cricket summer program.
Build healthy relationships with youth clients through facilitation of workshops utilizing art, music and/or other activities.
Be a positive role model for youth, helping them identify healthy, safe and successful pathways.
Use trauma informed practices to mentor youth and refer to appropriate community resources.
Expected Outcomes or Key Accountabilities for the Position:
Develop and demonstrate understanding of trauma informed services for youth as outlined in the Art Restores Kids Training Handbook, by providing positive mentorship, redirection and promoting non-violent behaviors.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Art Restores Kids (ARK) Program and how it operates within Cricket's Hope by accurately presenting program's purpose, components and procedures to clients, community organizations, school sites and the public.
Become familiar with youth-related difficulties as well as appropriate interventions by learning how trauma, violence, substance use, mental health and poverty impact children and referring clients to appropriate community resources.
Complete intake process and maintain client files using Parent Permission to Participate forms, photo releases and other necessary documentation.
Facilitate workshops with youth participants using AWBW Curriculum, utilizing a variety of materials identified in curriculum including paint, oil pastels, beads, clay, etc.
Display ability to work as a part of a team by co-facilitating workshops and progressively learning to lead all workshop components including warm ups, activities, check out and providing back up to address individual crisis and/or behavioral needs.
Plan workshops using A Window Between Worlds (AWBW) curriculum to effectively address clients' needs. Including selecting workshops according to topic, number of participants, time and materials available.
Prepare for workshops by identifying and gathering supplies and materials as outlined in our curriculum.
Foster social cohesion within groups by promoting respectful relations and focusing on nonviolent behaviors.
Track workshop attendance using Excel Spreadsheets to be used in reports for Board of Directors and grant purposes.
Promote Pathways to Purpose program by acting as mentor and acknowledging participants' strengths, talents and gifts and encouraging them to find ways to use them.
Provide a model for a healthy, trusting relationships through clear communication and setting appropriate boundaries
Participate in Camp Cricket by helping children prepare for a weeklong camp experience and attending camp.
Assist with event coordination by contacting donors, vendors, organizing donations, preparing venues, etc.
Work as part of a team, taking some leadership roles when appropriate, but also helping behind-the-scenes and helping with the operation of Cricket's Hope.
Keep a consistent and regular schedule as agreed upon with the Executive Director and/or Program Specialist.
Follow/adhere to the Art Restores Kids Training handbook and employee handbook as appropriate.
