Manage transportation negotiations and international shipping operations, balancing cost, service, and compliance with import/export requirements. Inventory Management & Systems Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation across NetSuite and RF Smart. Identify and resolve root causes of discrepancies, implementing corrective actions in partnership with Finance and Operations. Maintain high data quality to support financial accuracy and supply chain visibility. Cross-Functional & Strategic Alignment Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Contract Manufacturing to align warehouse operations with business objectives. Lead strategic initiatives related to warehouse expansion, automation, and technology enhancement to drive scalability, efficiency, and sustainability. Champion innovation and process improvements that strengthen cost efficiency and customer satisfaction. Conducts brief (three minute) safety coaching sessions on an occasional basis at the direction of the Shift Supervisor. Processes ORD paperwork to include material certificates (MTR), certificates of compliance (C of Cs) and any other customer requests. Train associates in all aspects of warehouse operations. Identifies and properly handles brokered items, customer dedicated materials, and buy-outs. Reads and follows through on work orders to ensure that correct material is properly loaded on Company vehicles. Assist other departments as needed. Assists other associates with stocking materials. Fills in for shift supervisors on a temporary basis when needed. Updates the location of materials in IMS System when materials are moved. Efficiently handles sheet material and safely operates cutting equipment. Inspects product to meet s quality requirements and customer requests. Disseminates critical information regarding safety concerns, associate issues, customer service, and equipment matters to management and team members in a timely manner. Conducts and documents monthly safety inspections. Understands equipment limits, coordinating all production needs to maximize the use of saws. Processes material returns and receives all inbound material from third party delivery services, such as UPS, FedEx, and Freightliner. ABOUT THE JOB The Warehouse Manager is responsible for establishing operational procedures for activities in the warehouse. This includes hiring and training new team members to operate the facility. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping the warehouse inventory current. Inspects physical condition of the warehouse, equipment and vehicles. Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment and vehicles. Maintains monthly truck reports. Meets with department leaders to ensure coordination of warehouse activities as well as other functions such as production, sales, records control, purchasing and compliance. Directs salvage of damaged and used materials. Participates in planning team safety and plant protection activities (i.e. safety data sheets) to comply with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations. Handles walk-in sales and works with supplier representatives. Ensures that all drivers conform to DOT regulations. Provides back-up to Truck Drivers and other team members when needed. Manages other team members. Driving a company vehicle is required. Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Other work-related duties as assigned by leader. Reliable and regular attendance is required. Follows all company policies and procedures. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two years of warehouse work experience is required. Leadership experience is required. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Ability to operate a forklift is required. Ability to read, write and speak in English is required. Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena. Valid U.S. driver's license is required to drive a company vehicle. Must be able to meet all company requirements to drive a Helena vehicle. Applicants for positions requiring operation of other moving vehicles or interaction with other heavy equipment must meet legal age requirement. Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required. Pay range is $70,340-$75,000 Successful completion of a drug screen and background check is required for all positions at Helena. When working in the warehouse, you will regularly work around moving equipment/mechanical parts and could be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations and a risk of electrical shock. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand (8 hours a day or more), lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more), reaching overhead (up to and including 25lbs), climbing, gripping, grasping and twisting using hands and wrists, bending and stooping for long periods of time, working below knee levels for short periods of time and working above shoulder level for short periods.
