The IT Security Analyst monitors and advises on information security issues related to the systems and workflow at an agency to ensure the internal IT security controls for an agency are appropriate and operating as intended. Coordinates and executes IT security related projects for the agency. Coordinates response to information security incidents. Develops and publishes Information Security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines based on knowledge of best practices and compliance with Commonwealth IT Security policies, standards, and guidelines. Conducts campus-wide data classification assessment and security audits and manages remediation plans. Collaborates with IT management, Internal Audit, and VITA to manage security vulnerabilities. YOUR ROLE
Genworth's innovative Actuarial Development Program aids in the navigation from aspiring to accomplished actuary through obtaining the esteemed FSA designation. Beginning Summer 2026, this multiple year program consists of 18-30 month rotational assignments that allow you to build foundational skills and competencies, business acumen, and leadership. Key Responsibilities
Create and determine contents of reports using a combination of web-based compliance tools, open-source resources, and client-provided information.
Write clear, concise, and thoroughly researched reports for clients using a variety of public records, databases, and other web-based sources and tools.
Utilize judgement and best practices to complete research, writing and editing of cases of different products, scopes, jurisdictions, and complexity.
Proficient in research methodology, tools, and processes.
Determine and escalate identified risk factors to case manager.
Successfully manage case lifecycle, personal workload, and pipeline.
Communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing.

For this position we are really looking for someone who is strong in Security Operations (Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Identity Access Management, etc.). A few of the candidates were strong in Risk Management (Risk Assessment, Data Classification, Audits, etc.) but we already have those skills on our team. The remaining candidates mostly struggled to answer basic technical questions relating to security and seemed to mostly come from more IT Operations backgrounds. We are looking for an experienced person as this is not an entry level opening.

The Office of Elections is seeking to hire a Research and Policy Analyst (Legal Advisor). The Research and Policy Analyst (Legal Advisor) position is responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis to support election staff, candidates, political committees and other entities throughout the election cycle. The position helps ensure compliance with state and local election laws related to candidate qualifications, ballot access, filing requirements, and campaign documentation. The role will also help draft policies and procedures to ensure elections are conducted in compliance with all aspects of local, state and federal law related to election administration, voter registration, and elections, more broadly.
Duties include but are not limited to
Analysis
* Recommend, research and draft changes to proposed legislation and existing laws
* Help develop technical, administrative, and policy protocols to ensure compliance with existing election law, policies and regulations.
* Conduct research on various research and policy issues
* Analyze statistical data
* Identify trends, issues, opportunities, and funding resources related to key election policy areas
