Does Gartner drug test?
No, Gartner does not drug test. Gartner does not ask their employees to take a drug test as part of the hiring process. Nor do they randomly drug test their employees. The only time Gartner requires a drug test is after an employee has been involved in a workplace accident.
Despite this lack of drug testing, Gartner is a drug-free workplace and, as such, has a policy in place regarding substance abuse.
Gartner's Code of Conduct Policy, section entitled Substance Abuse:
"You must never sell, use, possess, or be under the influence of illegal drugs, or improperly use, possess, or be under the influence of alcohol while on Company premises or while engaged in Company business, including Company or client sponsored events.
Exceptions may be made for reasonable consumption of alcohol provided by the Company at Company or client-sponsored events."
Gartner is also a smoke-free workplace, and employees are not allowed to smoke while inside the building, in company cars, or while at company-sponsored events.
