Does O'Reilly Auto Parts drug test?

By Matthew Zane - Jun. 12, 2023

Yes, O'Reilly Auto Parts drug tests potential hires and reserves the right to randomly drug test current employees. Drug screening is a part of the company's pre-clearance review for each candidate.

The process will be initiated after the candidate has formally accepted a job offer and instructions will be provided at that time. Failure of this test means you are not eligible for employment with the company.

The auto parts company asks all potential hires to submit to a urine drug test during the hiring process. Current employees that are involved in a workplace accident are also required to take a drug test. In addition, employees suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while working are also required to submit to a drug screening.

In any of these instances, a failed drug test can result in disciplinary action, including termination, and possible criminal prosecution, if the employee has endangered the lives of their co-workers.
