This question is about what a substitute teacher does.
To become a substitute teacher without a degree, you must teach in either Texas, Florida, or Georgia. These states only require you to have a high school diploma or equivalent to become a substitute teacher.
Certain private schools do not require you to have a degree. Although, these are few and far between.
In all other 47 states, you cannot become a substitute teacher without at least a bachelor's degree.
Substitute teachers also have to pass a basic skills test and a background check to be eligible.
