Prior to joining Blue Pillar, Tom was the CEO of CURRENT Group where he was recognized as a visionary in the Smart Grid energy industry. While at CURRENT, he oversaw the successful launch and deployment of numerous product offerings that became de facto standards in smart metering and smart grid communications. While leading CURRENT, he also served as the Vice President/Vice Chairman of PRIME Alliance AISBL, a nonprofit industry trade group focused on the development of a new open, public and non-proprietary communications solution which is now being used extensively by utilities all over Europe. Tom was recognized as a Top 50 Smart Grid Pioneer in 2013 by Smart Grid Today and CURRENT won numerous industry and product awards before being acquired in 2013.
