Cogebanque was established in July 1999 by forty-two private Rwandan investors.

In 1999, after an intense stock market battle, BNP took control of Paribas.

2008

In 2008, three new international investors paid US$6 million for a 40% ownership in the bank.

2013: BNP Paribas launches Hello Bank! in France, the first fully digital European bank.
