The Family Support Provider (FSP) for Stronger Families, Stronger Futures (SF2) provides support and education in the home environment to parents and their children (pre-natal to age 5) who are at risk for child abuse and neglect. The FSP works in collaboration with service providers to reduce abuse or neglect. SF2 also focuses on the child development of the child(ren) through various assessments and the Parents as Teachers curriculum. We focus on the three areas of emphasis; Family Well-being, Parent-Child Interaction, Development-Centered Parenting. Responsible for supervising, nurturing, and caring for children typically from 6 months through preteen ages. This position consists of welcoming children, facilitating crafts and activities, diapering, and managing of the childrens behavior while in the classroom. Ensures programs operate within the budget. Substitute in classrooms and fill-in when needed. Assist in the development and monitoring of enrollment, payment, safety and wage guidelines for the department. Ensure that child care routines are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with the good child development principles. This includes routines related to diapering, hand washing, eating, napping and transitioning between activities. Promote and nurture parent-child bonding and relationships. Provide daily care individually to each infant, including but not limited to diapering at least every 2 hours or more frequent if needed and feeding on demand. Community partnerships will be developed and enhanced through constant teamwork and communication among staff including Teacher Assistants, Head Teacher, Child Care Coordinator, Child Care Directors parents, students and community collaborations.
