The ideal candidate will have at least two years of neurosurgical experience, preferably with trauma exposure. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive care to neurosurgical patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow\-up, primarily in inpatient settings such as the ICU, ward, and emergency department. Assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care in collaboration with neurosurgeons, trauma surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. Perform advanced procedures as credentialed, including lumbar punctures, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring, and wound management. Participate actively in daily rounds, patient consultations, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Contribute to the program's quality improvement initiatives and participate in professional development opportunities. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) program. Current and unrestricted license in South Dakota as a PA or NP. Board certification by NCCPA (PA) or AANP\/ANCC (NP). Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, with trauma experience preferred. ICU experience is a significant advantage. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
