Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes
Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
Report maintenance issues to supervisor

Job Summary
The Shelter Resource Worker (SRW) reports to the Site Manager and works in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society, including following Lookout's Code of Ethics. SRWs are direct service staff working within a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week emergency shelter for homeless adults who struggle with a variety of issues such as homelessness, addictions, and mental health. The SRW provides intakes, orientations, and support for guests entering the shelter. The SRW will connect with public service agencies relevant to the needs of the shelter guests.
Job Duties
Provide support, supervision, and assistance to homeless adults who may be facing multiple barriers
Accept referrals, and identify and share information with a variety of Lookout's external resources
Refer guests to a variety of community services
Interview and provide basic necessities; ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all
Complete required records and maintain statistical data
Support others in the shelter who are in need of assistance
Provide assistance for new staff

Qualifications & Competence

* Completes written and/or typed reports on a variety of incidents and residents' behaviors; sends and receives verbal transmissions over a hand-held radio; maintains a written log of daily facility activities; communicates by telephone with emergency responder agencies in crisis situations.
* Provide safe and secure transport services for OJA custody youth to and from placement, juvenile detention centers, court hearings, and various other appointments such as medical, dental and mental health evaluations.
* Will have responsibility for GPS monitoring, tracking, inventory and documentation in assigned areas.
* Other high risk transportation duties as assigned and specified through the Performance Management Process (PMP).
* Assists other OJA employees as needed/other duties as assigned.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNITY CONNECT SPECIALIST
The Community Connect Specialist (CCS) represents the Agency to various parties such as community groups, churches, attorneys, food banks, public health agencies, nurse associations, state and county medical societies, and similar institutions to apprise them of the availability of the Agency's Medicare services. This position designs and implements protocols to provide improved home care services, monitoring customer service through ongoing quality assurance visits and serving as a public awareness and education representative for the Agency. Full-time CCS are expected to make 50-60 in-person calls per week. Part-time Marketers are expected to make 20-30 calls per week.•Conducts ongoing meetings with the community at-large, senior ministries at churches and other applicable health professionals to monitor quality assurance issues, and to facilitate education regarding Medicare guidelines and Agency services.
Tailors' education and service programs to fit the audience's needs. Conducts quality assurance visits in the field with clients, families, community groups and other entities receiving services to monitor program effectiveness and enhance delivery of client care, in addition to making the referral process as simple as possible for referral sources. Researches, develops, and implements new programs and protocols to provide higher quality client services, improve internal and external communication, and to address concerns or problem areas raised by clients, families, physicians or other entities receiving services. Participates in community education functions, such as public speaking to civic and church groups to provide education on home health services available through Medicare. Stays within $500 monthly budget and ensures that anything over $500 is approved by management.
Submits a weekly Community Education Pre-Plan by 9 a.m. every Monday and a Quarterly Action Plan and Prospect List two weeks prior to the upcoming quarter.
