The Life Sciences Strategy Director will lead the sales team in developing the key account opportunities in the Americas. This role will be a strategic partner to the Area Vice Presidents and Regional Sales Directors. The Life Sciences Strategy Director demonstrably contributes to the industry segment business objectives through key account business development responsibilities including: working with the Regional Sales Directors and local Account Executives in selecting, researching, and purposefully pursuing the largest revenue opportunities in the segment in their respective regions; communicating account expectations to all stakeholders and leading on the implementation of strategic account plans and monitoring performance.
Responsibilities
Strategic, non A/D, end-user focused, account development role
Enabling and working alongside the responsible account owner (the Account Executive), the Life Sciences Strategy Director is responsible for long-term account development of key accounts in:
Pharmaceutical / Biotech and related industries
Electronics Manufacturing and R&D / Government R&D, and related technology industries of Oil, Gas, Chemical and other related industries
Science, Technology, Research and Laboratory spaces in the Higher Education market
Identification, research and purposeful pursuit of accounts based upon account assignment and alignment with Regional Sales Directors, and Account Executives. Any/all accounts with said potential should be included. Company reserves the right to add more Account Executives to address, if necessary.
The Life Sciences Strategy Director will build/maintain/curate/rank/value these accounts and be responsible for strategic movement, recording key business development activities in SalesForce.
Bias for Business Development
In partnership with the Regional Sales Directors, revitalize the Interface culture of “making the call”
Provide example to Account Executives of how to successfully create a personal/regional bias for business development.
Learning
Develop industry leading presentation skillset in order to speak proficiently to vertical segment stakeholders. Partner with the RSDs and deliver the value proposition AEs aspire to emulate.
Develop sufficient research skills necessary to know more about the customer than they know about themselves. Knowing our customer's purpose, sustainability position, financial status, ESG and procurement policies are key to success.
Responsible for delivery of end-user oriented CEUs in the above mentioned segments.
Professional Association & Contract Leader
Membership/participation/lead in all relevant regional associations in the aforementioned verticals, including but not limited to IFMA, CORENET, APPA, ASHE, APPA, ACUHO, NAEP, NAA, NIGP, NHA, SPLC etc.
The goal is not simply to be a member, but to get involved in committee assignments, leadership and to develop principal to principal relationships.
Segment expert and point person for regional contracts, national contracts and purchasing cooperatives.

The OMD student support model is rooted in evaluation and evidence: A randomized controlled trial conducted with the University of Chicago Inclusive Economy Lab shows that OMD scholars are 70% more likely to enroll, 94% more likely to persist, 73% more likely to earn a degree.

One Million Degrees (OMD) is seeking a collaborative, strategic, and equity-minded professional to serve as the Manager, Advisory and Capacity Building (ACB). Reporting to the Principal, ACB, the Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing OMD's national impact by supporting high-impact pilot projects, coordinating work across multiple initiatives, and building sustainable operational practices that drive long-term growth.

Responsibilities:
Client and project management

Oversee day-to-day communications and information sharing with project stakeholders;

Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess a “can-do” work ethic and mindset, strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, and must believe in the role of OMD's holistic program model in the success of community college students. Education
Bachelor's degree required; relevant master's degree preferred.
Experience

The ideal candidate will be a patent attorney having 10-12 years of experience, (a) a combination of law firm and in-house experience (preferred) (b) advising on a wide range of intellectual property related matters.
Duties will include (a) managing outside counsel on patent & trademark application preparation and prosecution, worldwide portfolio management, patentability, freedom-to-operate, (b) general copyright and trademark related counseling and, (c) working with cross-functional teams to develop appropriate IP strategies, (c) support IP related transactions, (d) support licensing and due diligence activities. The position will report to our Vice President, Chief IP Counsel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate with research & development to identify new inventions; implement strategies for patent protection throughout all phases of development.
Direct outside counsel on preparation and prosecution of worldwide patent portfolio; assist with patentability assessments.
Develop a thorough understanding of Novavax' current and planned business activities, products, competitors, and markets, and keep abreast of developing IP and other legal trends, laws and regulations.
Lead freedom-to-operate initiative and support mitigation measures.
Identify training needs within the company and develop training materials on relevant IP laws and related business issues.
Other matters and duties as may be assigned.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline with emphasis in organic chemistry and/or immunology preferred.
Advanced degree preferred.
Juris Doctorate degree.
Registration as a patent attorney with USPTO and member of a state bar.
10-12 years of relevant experience in patent prosecution with global portfolios.
Strong core patent prosecution skills and ability to independently manage IP dockets and drive strategy with outside counsel.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build, and sustain effective partnerships with key stakeholders and project teams.
Ability to travel internationally up to 25%
The annual base salary (or hourly wage) for this position falls within the range of $226,200.00 - $305,350.00. However, the actual base pay offered may vary based on several individualized factors, such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The Director of State Government Affairs will provide direction, coordination and execution of State Policy and Government Affairs initiatives, and advocacy efforts, related to Organon's U.S. objectives. Direct responsibility for policy and advocacy in western and central states. Providing analysis and engagement with the Worldwide Government Affairs and Policy team, the broader Global External Affairs organization, and the U.S. commercial organization.
Responsibilities also include the advancement of Organon's relationships with key external stakeholders (both governmental and non-governmental) that influence public policy, provide counsel about possible courses of action, and identify key external engagement opportunities on policy. The role will provide direction and perspective for Organon's political programs (PAC and grassroots) and collaborate with Federal Policy, Global Policy, Communications, and US Commercial in furtherance of Organon's initiatives.
Given the area of responsibility, it is recommended that the candidate be located in California or surrounding states.
Responsibilities
As part of the U.S. Policy and Government Affairs Team, implement public policy positions and advocacy strategy consistent with the company's business and public policy objectives.
Responsible for managing state government advocacy activities covering states in the western and central regions of the U.S.
Individual responsibility to represent Organon in key states and additional regional states to be determined. Exact coverage may evolve based on needs and interests/experience.
Manage interaction with state public officials, including legislative and executive branch officials and staff, as well as relevant external stakeholders.
Partner with the Organon U.S. Federal Relations, Global Communications, Legal, Commercial, Market Access and other internal stakeholders on issues requiring coordinated input.
Manage external consultants, policy development projects, and budget.
Ensure the company's lobbying and campaign contributions are compliant with all state agencies, laws, rules, and regulations.
Represent Organon in external-facing roles, including trade associations, third-party organizations, and other situations, as needed.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
BS/BA required. Master's or graduate degree preferred.
Experience in State Government Affairs and/or State Policy role in the biopharmaceutical industry.
At least ten years of experience in managing U.S. state government affairs issues and activities related to health care policy in multiple states with a minimum of four years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated experience to develop and execute public policy and state legislative strategy.
Experience in analyzing state legislation and regulations.
Proven ability to build relationships with high-level executives in healthcare and/or in state government.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.
Understanding of business mechanics and ability to work collaboratively with commercial colleagues.
Experience working with state Medicaid programs and benefits.
Strong understanding of state coverage and reimbursement systems.
