As Freight Dispatcher, you will work in a fast-paced environment coordinating our day-to-day shipments and support the efforts of our office by providing visibility and maintaining accurate documentation for all loads. The key responsibilities of this role are to provide clear and concise communication, troubleshoot customer concerns, and to proactively monitor the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Enter new load orders into our proprietary web-based software
Initiate “check calls” to track and trace drivers on all pickups and deliveries
Communicate internally correspondence with drivers to ensure accurate documentation
Closely monitor freight via multiple detailed websites to ensure accurate delivery times and to notify customers of potential delays
Maintain and collect proper paperwork for each shipment
Work cooperatively with Sales and Dispatch to provide solutions for customers' needs and resolve issues
Skills/Abilities:
Must have strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize, balance, and organize information while completing multiple tasks.
Above average proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Suite

Education and Experience:
1-3 years of work experience in customer service, operations, data entry, call center, dispatch or logistics
Automotive experience highly preferred

As a Transportation Admin with America's Auto Auctions, you will create orders and verify vehicle assignments for financial institutions in a timely manner so said vehicles can be processed and driver's can be dispatched to get them
What You Will Do:
• Create Order and confirm location of assigned vehicles from various financial institutions.
• Research variable delays regarding pickup assignments not ready to be verified.
• Re-verify delays that occur after the vehicle has been dispatched, but not picked up.
• Confer with banks as to location of vehicles and to answer any other questions they might have regarding transportation needs.
• Cross check multiple transportation online resources to complete assigned tasks.
• Assist when needed and available, other employees to expedite their tasks.
• Participate in meetings and participate in achieving service and cost improvements
• Take the lead in ensuring that all operational cost are provided to Finance / Sales for customer quotes, and including rollouts and timelines
• Assist in providing financial analysis of transportation subsidies both weekly and monthly followed by developing action plans to streamline and reduce cost.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the dispatcher is responsible for receiving and disseminating information concerning complaints, incidents, and accidents; reporting discrepancies and malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate agencies; maintaining a computer-aided dispatch log; completing incident reports; controlling the radio net; dispatching patrols; serving as the Law Enforcement Agency Data System (LEADS) terminal operator; issuing student/staff identification cards and parking permits; and handling other department generated paperwork. Position subject to background check and drug testing, upon initial hire and randomly thereafter.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* No record or conviction of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude.
* Previous dispatching experience or completion of a Public Safety Telecommunication Course of Training is desirable.
* Prior experience with small office administration, personal computers, word processing, data base, spreadsheets and filing is also desirable.
* Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and AED certification.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$15.00 per hour, up to 28 hours per week
