The purpose of this position is to ensure that fleet vehicles and equipment is maintained and repaired in a safe, reliable, economical and serviceable manner. This is a Union position focused on basic preventive and corrective maintenance on company fleet vehicles and equipment. Job Responsibilities Functional Expertise: Performs preventive maintenance oil changes and inspections in accordance with defined fleet procedures and minor electrical repairs on all fleet vehicles and equipment. Performs fueling and checking of fluids (as needed) on all fleet vehicles and equipment in accordance with defined fleet procedures, company safety guidelines and state and federal regulations. Maintains fleet garage tire inventory; and performs tire repairs/changes; and excavating chain adjustments and related bullet replacements to ensure fleet vehicles and equipment are operating in a safe and reliable manner. Transports fleet vehicles and equipment between fleet service, third party establishments and operating areas. Performs general fleet facility/housekeeping, vehicle equipment cleaning and washing activities and other duties as assigned. Arrange outage requests and compile switching routines for internal and external departments. Analyze project diagram related work and coordinate the addition of new equipment to the system. Ensure clearance orders provide a safe zone of protection for field personnel. * Review and follow the progression of project diagram related work on the distribution system. * Interface with mapping and monitor the accuracy of new maps issued for project diagram and other related work. * Develop and provide emergency switching plans based on last contingencies. * Provide technical advice and assistance to dispatchers. Mentor and assist in monitoring the progress of dispatchers. Job Scope * The Arranger provides functional control for all the needs of the ComEd 4kV and 12kV electric distribution system or the PECO 2.4kV, 4kV and 13kV, and 34kV electric distribution system, including line and equipment loading limitations, switching and operating procedures. The individual must respond to emergency situations due to storms or equipment failure on the distribution system. The individual will provide direction and control over various construction departments, contractors, and municipal agencies in the performance of work related activities involving lines or equipment under the control of the dispatchers. The individual must be able to work independently to avoid unplanned interruptions to customers and verify that all scheduled work does not place our customers or distribution system at undue risk. * The consequences of operating errors or improper system operation could cost the company millions of dollars in direct, indirect and intangible costs such as the loss of customer good will, damaged company equipment, damaged customer equipment and damage to the company's public image. The individual must be able to analyze issues, prioritize and provide direction under extreme stress and conflicting demands for attention. Job Summary Responsible for supervising employees and contractors for the execution of all paving and restoration required for Peoples Gas maintenance and construction work. This includes supervising all activities related to the restoration work,ensuring work is completed per specifications. Will be responsible for problem and complaint resolution withcustomers, CDOT, and public officials. Job Responsibilities * Supervise the execution of all paving and restoration work in a geographic region, phase or project. This includesoversight of contractors, ensuring contractor work is completed per contract and CDOT specifications; qualityassurance, complaint resolution, and assisting in verification of citations, MOU's/Conflict or any other requirementsassociated with restoration activities. Will assist in the scheduling, activity tracking and validating of reportedquantities from contractors. Will assure representation of restoration group with construction progress meetings. * Supervise team of paving and restoration field inspectors, including assigning daily tasks, coaching, mentoring,training and problem resolution. Will provide guidance and support on all restoration activities and implementchange management, monitoring of performance metrics to ensure meeting business objectives and utilizing bestpractices.
