Position Overview:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the success of our banquet operations by supporting the team in food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and service efficiency. You'll be responsible for maintaining kitchen sanitation standards, assisting in meal preparation, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service for large-scale events, ensuring top-notch quality.
Perform general kitchen duties such as dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Support catering operations by organizing and transporting food items and supplies to various locations.
Set up and break down kitchen areas for banquets, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
Maintain high standards of food safety, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene in accordance with company policies.
Assist in stocking and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Travel to various job sites to assist in catering operations, working alongside the culinary team.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequirements:
1-2 years of kitchen experience, preferably in a catering or restaurant environment.
Previous experience as a server, dishwasher, or in kitchen sanitation is highly desirable.
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
Must be 21 years or older.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

* Able to lift at least 25 pounds, which includes carrying cupcake trays, cupcake batter, and frosting in addition to bags of boxed purchases.
* Must be able to move around the front of the bakery as you bend down for bags and reach up for cupcake trays.
