Job Description
This is a
Computer Field Technician Position
doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position,
you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Perform internal ISO audits and participate in third party audits.
Work with managers to formulate and implement policies and procedures to facilitate, clarify and correct processes.
Monitor operational performance using ISO processes in conjunction with site database.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Safety & Quality. 3-5 years of General Safety, Quality, and ISO experience is required
Certifications in OSHA 30, OSHA 10, CSP, ASP, First Aid/CPR/AED, HAZWOPER, ISO 9001/ISO 45001, JSA Training is preferred.
Working knowledge of ISO systems and procedures is preferred.

About the Position
The Performing Arts Production Manager plays a key role in daily programming, ensuring high-quality interpretive performances and managing rehearsal and performance schedules. This position fosters a safe, positive work environment and creates clear, equitable daily reports. The role blends technical skill, creativity, and leadership to support performances across indoor and outdoor venues. When not managing daily programs, supervises sound staff and supports seasonal planning, EMS entries, and other tasks from the Senior Manager. Proficiency in animal restraint, sample collection techniques, patient monitoring, cytology, hematology, parasitology, radiograph positioning, and intravenous catheter placement.

Oversee consultants and contractors providing systems support and services. Ensure team members are trained and proficient in new traffic management technologies and equipment in traffic management systems. Ensure compliance with established safety standards, VDOT policies and procedures, and equipment operational standards. To supervise others doing the same work activity. To ensure contracted and in-house maintenance and construction work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications, safety standards, VDOT policies and procedures, building codes and industry standards, grounds maintenance, and electronic toll equipment. Oversee maintenance of freeway ITS assets. Provide technical assistance and guidance in evaluating and resolving technical ITS problems. Maintain and operate regional wide area telecommunications network. Provide input on transportation management and ITS technologies for integration into the regional system. Manage and direct maintenance and repair of freeway ITS devices, including cameras, gates, and control devices.
How you will contribute:
Budgets and Operational plans: Assist with development of operational plans, budgets and expenditure documentation for regional transportation management systems to include Interstate ITS, Roadway Lighting and communications. Assist in development of disaster recovery plans. implement and maintain emergency response plan.
Communication: Communicate effectively with the public concerning operations and problems with traffic signals or tolls as assigned. Communicate and interact with the police department concerning traffic signal work and repairs. Effectively resolve issues and problems.
Electrical: Perform hands-on electrical work or coordinate staff in the repair of assigned equipment.
Oversight: Coordinate with and support field technicians and contractors to implement work plans. Lead field staff and monitor contractors performing maintenance and operation of freeway traffic management equipment and communication networks. Maintain records and prepare reports. Oversee and verify consultant work performing operations and maintenance support. Coordinate the installation of communication lines to new and relocated signals. Monitor and maintain communications to ITS equipment in the field.
Preventative Maintenance: Oversee implementation of preventive maintenance program for regional transportation system communication components and freeway ITS devices.

Skill in the use of computers and web-based applications.
Thorough knowledge of applicable federal, state, department rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards related to program area.
Thorough understanding of ITS equipment, maintenance and operations.

Experience using a variety of hand tools and test equipment to perform maintenance on ITS equipment and traffic signals.
Thorough knowledge of traffic management systems, including timing plans, graphic design and computer use.
Thorough understanding of traffic control signal equipment and operations.
Additional Considerations:
A combination of training, experience or education in Electronics Technology or related field desired.
IMSA Traffic Signal Level II
Substantial experience with ITS equipment.
