These APD positions will represent indigent trial-level clients facing misdemeanor and felony criminal charges in Common Pleas, Municipal, and Juvenile courts within those counties. While, generally, all APDs in our office may represent individuals in all listed courts and jurisdictions, each of these open positions will be assigned to serve in one of four courts. Job DescriptionDescription: Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff. We are currently seeking a contingent Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA). This position is responsible for providing support, reassurance, and counseling to patients. Counselor Assistants are responsible for completing admissions, discharges, facilitating/leading group sessions, and initiating individual discussions, as well as patient supervision and observation. Counselor Assistants also must be able to perform the OCDPB Twelve Core Functions and Competencies (including screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, consultation, and reports/record keeping) under the supervision of a licensed independent chemical dependency counselor. Hours: Two, 7-hour shifts; 12:00pm - 7:00pm and one, 6-hour shift; 9:00am - 3:00pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide ongoing support of patients' individual recovery processes.
