What you'll do: Take ownership of the cafe spaces' counter aesthetics Greet guests upon entering our storefronts and successfully communicate seasonal specials, encourage guests to try our best selling items etc. Navigate the Toast POS system to accurately ring up customers' orders Keep a clean and organized counter space Make decisions based on ensuring happiness for the guests, the team and the company while maximizing profitability Maintain safety standards while adhering to maman's policies and procedures Investigate and resolve any guest concerns Assist with re-stocking at the end of your shift - team work is the best work, set your colleagues up for success Ensure return visitors and foster relationships with regulars through warm hospitality and impeccable service; develop one-on-one rapport with returning guests - do you know their order? Duties and Responsibilities Collects cash, checks or charge payments from guests. Ensures an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements during work shift. Greets guests as they enter the dining area. Organizes seating chart; designates sections. Responsible for seating guests. Answers the phone, takes orders and cleans as necessary. Knows menu and can describe items. Knows current specials and promotions. Responsible for setting-up cash drawer and following security procedures. Interacts with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experience. Fills to-go orders, if applicable. Sweeps foyer and front entrance area frequently. JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for operating the concessions stand and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the concessions area as a whole.
