He has published over 120 papers in professional journals and made numerous presentations in international conferences . He has been a distinguished member of many professional societies and received professional awards from the Institute of Transportation Engineers,The Transportation Research Board,IEEE and others. Developed a patented process for machine vision based vehicle detection and founded a company for commercializing the technology, which pioneered the field of wide area vehicle detection( Autoscope). He later took the company public ( NASDAQ : ISNS).He served as PI in transportation research projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) the Program of University Research of the US Department of Transportation (US DOT), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Florida and Minnesota DOT, the EU commission and others.Dr. Michalopoulos has participated in traffic management and control projects worldwide, including the Barcelona, Atlanta, Seoul and Athens Olympic Games. He developed the first known mesoscopic PC based traffic simulation software (KRONOS) ,co founded the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota as well as the Traffic Observatory and led many advanced traffic management projects.

Chad Stelzig is based in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has worked as Interim President & CEO at IMAGE SENSING SYSTEMS INC, Sr. Staff Engineer at Tianai Zhang, and Research Assistant at University of Illinois at Chicago. Chad studied at HAMLINE UNIVERSITY between 1994 and 1998 and University of Illinois Chicago between 1998 and 2000.

During my career I have actively participated in global management teams responsible for strategy, operations and sales growth. Having served 20 years in transaction advisory and audit services with Arthur Andersen and KPMG I have worked with executives and board members from a variety of industries and understand their business drivers and generate growth. I have led teams on nearly a dozen IPO's and more than three dozen mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, demonstrating success in publicly and privately held companies.
