Chinese Mandarin Linguist will conduct open source research and analysis. Linguist will be responsible for providing full translation and gist on various topics of interest and regular production of deliverables.

Translation:
Can accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hard -copy formats that contain facts and some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances.

Interpretation:

Transcription:

DEPARTMENT SYNOPSIS:
The Health and Human Services Department responds to the needs of low-income Latinos and other immigrants and their families, utilizing service provision models that promote building the power of the immigrant community. This includes community education to prevent problems and build on community interest and assets, and working to impact trends that negatively affect low-income Latinos and other immigrants. The Health and Human Services Department includes the Health Promotion and Community Access, Legal, and Immigrant Integration programs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Have successfully completed the following:
40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course
Oral Language Proficiency Test in English and the target language(s)
Must have at least 2 years documented field experience providing interpreting services.
Must possess valid U.S. work authorization
Must reside within the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area
Must be willing to travel to our clients' locations
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
Able to independently travel by car or public transport.
