1952

Kreindler’s longtime position as “The leader in Aviation Accident Law” can be traced back to 1952 when Lee S. Kreindler proved that a malfunctioning propeller on a National Airlines DC-6 caused a crash, which killed 35 people.

1958

The court looked to the language of the 1958 Act and found it “specifically provided that the federal law does not ‘in any way abridge or alter the remedies now existing at common law or by statute.’”18

1963

His three-volume treatise, Aviation Accident Law, first published in 1963, is considered the most authoritative resource on aviation litigation and continues to be updated by the firm to this day.

2001

It’s not just about compensation for victims of the 2001 terrorist attack, according to the law firm partner.

2003

In 2003, Kreindler set a single aviation disaster settlement record that still stands today — obtaining nearly $3 billion from Libya and Pan Am in lawsuits arising out of the bombing of Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.

2006

2006 produced interesting and significant aviation preemption cases.
