Under the direction of the Senior Director, Mineral Fiber Operations while collaborating with plant leadership teams, this leader is accountable for:
Developing, leading and managing Mineral Fiber Operations Reliability Strategy and Standards with a focus on driving improvements in condition of assets, process heath, and work practices and skills to increase PR/OEE and reduce costs
Identifying and implementing Mineral Fiber Operations Maintenance Management Best practices in the areas of cost control, preventive and predictive maintenance, precision skills and downday effectiveness
Champions reliability and maintenance skill and competency development across broad operational leaders and executors in support of the Company's strategy. Develops reliability subject matter experts and capabilities across operations.
Develops an assortment of projects and initiatives that align with achieving full safety, quality, delivery, & cost KPIs that support our productivity and growth targets.

Organizes and leads the Mineral Fiber Operations Reliability Steering Team
Organizes and leads the various Mineral Fiber Operations networks - maintenance managers, stores, PdM, etc
Work with HR to define competencies, hiring practices, and developmental and progression plans for various reliability capabilities such as maintenance managers, maintenance supervisors and reliability engineers
Assess progress of capabilities and competencies and manage annual plans to develop the skills needed to support required PR/OEE levels
Assist in the development, recruitment, and retention of maintenance leadership and specific competencies

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing, maintenance and plant leadership experience
Supervisory experience
Demonstration of effective interactive skills with all levels of the organization to drive improvements and actions and facilitate behavioral change related to eliminating reliability defects
Experience with equipment maintenance techniques, such as Precision Maintenance and TPM.
Experience with continuous improvement processes and best practices, including Lean Manufacturing

+ Coordinate the day to day operations of the maintenance team with the assistance of the Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance. Attend all required Operations/Team/Compliance etc. meetings to ensure department alignment with other teams. Attend required meetings with Operations, GPS Groups, Safety, Security, etc. and communicate initiatives to team.
+ Oversee Facilities operations budgets, short- term rentals, long term rentals, purchases, capital improvements, etc.
+ Manage on a daily basis all material handling equipment technicians (MHE) technicians, building technicians, refrigeration technicians, battery technicians, and other maintenance team members. Appraise performance of hourly workforce for all special projects, start-up projects and acquisition projects. Coordinate labor and workforce as required. Oversee all outsource manufacturer's representatives and vendors performing work at the facility. Manage outside contractors and vendors performing work at the facility for capital and expense projects. Provide MHE operations technical support while coordinating the performance of the labor for all shops including: schedules, Supervisor coverage during scheduled and unscheduled time off, shop schedule re-alignment to meet warehouse operations needs, and preventative maintenance programs as required.
+ Work with Regional Director to provide resolution to business interruption issues including co-development of action plans required to provide necessary support to warehouse operations.
+ Complete training programs for compliance with corporate operating protocol.
+ Provide quarterly inspections of all fleet vehicles and battery systems.
+ Review all department work orders and purchase orders as required to audit process and workforce performance.
+ Coordinate daily operation metrics with all operating locations to include: daily down-line monitoring report, parts requisition / purchase orders, work order reports, warranty recover reports, damage recovery reports, preventative maintenance program reports and time and attendance reports.
+ Oversee the facility's usage of the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
+ Audit and close the work orders and purchase orders on a daily/weekly basis.
+ Review required metrics reports including PM completion/time accountability/meter readings/parts and inventories, etc. and send to Director on a weekly basis.
+ Assist the Director in overseeing and monitoring of approximately $1MM yearly operational budget and $2MM capital budget for the facility.
+ Manage the monetary requests and ensure they are completed (capital and expense requests both budgeted and non-budgeted) on time, within budget, ensuring high quality and with minimal disruption to operations.
+ Manage and oversee operation of the Material Handling Equipment Inventory.
+ Aid in the negotiation and procurement of $1-$2MM worth of new MHE equipment per year based upon approved capital plan.
+ Aid in monitor of all MHE assets for yearly replacement and movement between facilities.
+ Assist other maintenance teams at nearby C&S facilities, to ensure consistency regarding best practices.

About the Role
The Maintenance & Machining Supervisor contributes to the success of the plant by providing day-to-day maintenance leadership and technical support to the Maintenance and Machine shop crews. In this role, you will lead a team of frontline employees within the maintenance department (mechanics/machinists).
What You'll Do
Ensure equipment reliability to maximize line productivity
Identify gaps in team knowledge and skills and implement controls to track, and improve maintenance and technician capability
Track standard maintenance metrics and prioritize plant maintenance opportunities; accordingly, MTBF, MTTR, PM completion, corrective work completion
Ensure proper utilization of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Develop a team to oversee day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Communicates maintenance plans and status across department lines and collaborates cross-functionally to assist team to solve maintenance issues and gather resources for support
Builds team capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel
Motivate team members to achieve plan goals and drive performance through KPIs and team evaluations
Hands-on proficiency in a machine shop with manual lathes/mills, band saws, drill presses, surface grinders, and basic CNC ops (drafting/ design, setup, offsets, wear tools, workholding, and programming).
Administer policies and procedures
Prioritizes day-to-day work requests and coordinates with the Planner to adjust as needed
This role requires regular presence on the plant floor, lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally, may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally
Occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
Serves as the technical expert, coach, and resource for maintenance personnel and understands and follows established safety guidelines, programs, and procedures; and actively works to prevent safety incidents.
Supports all established plant and manufacturing goals and objectives. Apprises manager of team progress and any obstacles
This role will require off-shift and some weekend work
Some travel (less than 5%)
Additional Expectations
Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree, US military service, or equivalent experience required. Preferably in Engineering, Maintenance, Hydraulics, Machining, Electrical trades, or similar fields
Supervision experience supporting maintenance or operations (3 years)
Experience in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance (5 years)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to get and sustain results, build a team, coach, and mentor others
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to provide technical leadership
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting methodology

Competency
Previous experience working in a technical field, mechanical, electrical, or engineering strongly preferred

Mechanical experience maintaining equipment
Understanding of PLC programming and ladder logic
