I am a board certified surgical and cytopathologist and working as the Chief of anatomic pathology at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. I am primarily involved in routine surgical and cytopathology diagnostic work with a special focus on pulmonary, breast, and cytopathology. I also perform fine needle aspiration biopsies, per request by clinicians, as well as, rapid on site evaluation (ROSE) of image guided (bronchoscopy and ultrasound guided) aspiration biopsies (EUS and EBUS), including lung, Pancreas, Thyroid and other deep seated pelvic organs.

As the division chief, I provide technical/strategic leadership and direction to all aspects of clinical service missions, in conjunction and under direction with my chairman. Besides actively involved in management as well as departmental daily and monthly QA work per regulatory agencies (NYS DOH and CAP), I am also involved in department’s educational activities (teaching students, residents, fellows, cytotechnologists, histotechnologist's and pathologist’s assistants).

As a member of Hospital Cancer Committee and Lung cancer screening program, I am playing an active role in cancer treatment and preventive measures adopted by hospital.

Todd Simon is a Chief Academic Officer at New York Methodist Hospital and Internal Medicine Residency Program Director at New York Methodist Hospital and is based in New York.
