The Center for Biological Diversity is seeking full-time Development Operations Associate to work within a dynamic, successful fundraising team, helping to advance the organization's mission. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting mail and email production, tracking and querying data from various sources to support our organization's projects and initiatives as well as continually seeking to streamline and improve the development teams reports, systems and tools. They will also be responsible for some specialized areas of member tracking and data entry.

POSITION SUMMARY
This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and is willing to also provide administrative coverage for team member outages. The successful candidate will have experience with administrative support roles, data entry, and will be proficient in using various software tools and applications. This position reports to the Senior Development Operations Associate and works closely with Development Operations Director, the IT team and within the development team program areas including membership, donor relations, grants and others as necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Query data sources to extract and compile contact lists for member cultivation and stewardship outreach.
Provide mail and email production support including proofreading copy and tests, mail merging, printing, sending, creating source codes in the CRM database, and tracking contact histories for highly personalized fundraising and stewardship communications going to funders by email and mail.
Perform data entry and collection tasks related to member records, member activities and communications, and development team expense and supplies tracking.
Update and distribute routine fundraising performance reports to enable analysis by team leaders.
Ensure data integrity by executing regular quality control and data hygiene processes.
Develop and refine systems and tools, often in collaboration with other departments, including IT, to improve operational efficiency and project management.
Document processes and methodologies and provide cross training for other team members.
Update fields and tables in CRM database to adapt to evolving tracking needs.
Maintain the development teams shared files by implementing and adhering to logical hierarchies, standardized file naming conventions, and regular archiving and purging according to the Centers document retention best practices.
Receive cross training to provide coverage for other data and administrative tasks.
Participate in other fundraising and outreach activities as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Three to five years experience in similar administrative positions, preferably at a non-profit or in the field of fundraising/development, customer relations, marketing or communications.
College degree or commensurate professional experience.
Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, spreadsheets, mail merge functions.
Experience with donor CRM databases required.
Exceptional analytical skills, discretion and judgement.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, time management and accuracy in completing complex tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to retain high level of confidentiality.
Ability to work 40+ hours per week.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Experience with SQL

WORKING CONDITIONS
This job is performed in an office environment and requires long hours at the computer. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5. Some night or weekend work may be required. This position requires the operation of typical office equipment (fax machine, printer, etc.) Seasonal increase in workload and potential increase in hours from April-May and November-January.

Overall Purpose

The Lunar and Planetary Laboratory's Catalina Sky Survey (CSS), a leading NASA-funded project dedicated to detecting near-Earth asteroids, is seeking a Survey Operations Specialist. CSS operates advanced telescope facilities at the Catalina and Mt. Lemmon observatories, located north of Tucson.
This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team. Candidates must be physically prepared for work in a remote observatory environment at an elevation of 9,200 feet. The position requires a flexible schedule, including irregular hours and nighttime shifts.
Survey Operations Specialists typically work up to 12 nights per lunar cycle (approximately 29.5 days), divided into 3-4 shifts, and remain on-site during scheduled assignments. While winter conditions may include snow and cold, roads are maintained, and no snow removal is required.
Although primarily a nighttime operations role, occasional daytime work may be required. The successful candidate may also contribute to the survey through tasks such as instrument maintenance, software development, database management, IT support, electronics, and optics.
Employee will generally be expected to use their personal vehicle to travel to the observatory.

The Landfill Equipment Operator Specialist position at the City of Tucson's Environmental Services Department operates heavy machinery and supports the operations of the landfill and refuse intake for the safe, efficient, and responsible disposal of refuse, trash, debris, food waste, and recyclables.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor. This position does not supervise.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Operates various heavy machinery and equipment such as backhoes, loaders and unloaders with attachments, landfill compacters, dump trucks, and motor graders to compact refuse from customer intakes, in accordance with all federal, state, local and City of Tucson requirements. Promotes a safe work environment by adhering to the City of Tucson's safety standards for operating heavy machinery.
* Maintains working areas of the landfill by using heavy machinery and equipment to move and compact trash, haul cover material and to clear the tipping floor and residential drop area. Provides water support to control dust and prevent fires at the landfill. Repairs dirt roads by filling potholes and removing obstacles and hazardous material roads.
* Operates loaders, excavators, or haul trucks to load and move cover material from clear section to the area of refuse needing cover. Operates water trucks and wagons to maintain roads, working areas, and the landfill lift to control dust and minimize fire hazards.
* Stays alert to the commercial and residential vehicles and customers driving in the area nearby to reduce potential accidents. Maintains radio communication and keeps in contact with spotter and supervisor in order to update on incidents and maintain a safe work environment.
* Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned machinery and equipment, ensuring cleanliness of interior and exterior of assigned vehicles. Monitors tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls continuously to ensure machinery maintains operational readiness, and to minimize mechanical downtime and operational cost. Identifies and reports machinery performance issues or malfunctions and completes vehicle discrepancy reports for repairs by fleet services staff.
* Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned. Participates and cooperates in all scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings.
