Intern Position Summary
The Product & Solutions Intern will contribute to the ongoing modernization of the NMLS platform by supporting critical operational and data-validation activities. In this role, the intern will work closely with the Product & Solutions State Relations team to execute a multi-state license requirement checklist conversion project. Under the general supervision of the School Health (SH) Operations Nurse Manager (Public Health Nurse IV (PHN IV)), performs a diverse range of professional nursing level planning, facilitation, communication activities and project management necessary for the day-to-day operations of the SH Division that supports public health nursing, Medical Services Review Team (MSRT) and population health initiatives. Leads and coordinates with Regional PHN IV Nurse Managers, planned activities for care coordination of students, health promotion activities and MSRT caseload management. Position serves to expand caseload capacity to support MSRT activities for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Conducts MSRT case utilization reviews to ensure quality assurance and makes recommendations for process improvement; mentors and provides guidance to nursing staff on MSRT processes. Supports segment of School Health Division responsible for population health initiatives and leads and plans outreach initiatives to support students and the community. Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a college or university accredited by the National League for Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education with a bachelor's degree in nursing; Plus, three years of post-licensure experience as a nurse in an equivalent health care setting whose focus was primarily prevention services and community education, including two years in a public health/community health setting; Plus, at least one year experience in a public health/community health specialty area or supervisory responsibilities.

Intern Position Summary
The Business Process Analysis Intern will work with the Program Management Office. The Program Management Office manages a portfolio of programs with enterprise-wide impact. The team collaborates with senior leaders across the organization to develop a business case to clarify the desired outcome, identify investment needs and potential returns, and determine an implementation strategy when complex business requirements with enterprise impact are identified. The Systems Analyst will be responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to design and develop software and accompanying system integrations. This individual should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills, experienced in Agile frameworks and popular coding languages.
Support system engineering and architecture efforts.
Gather and assist in the preparation of epics and features based on customer needs.
Analyze and translate to both user stories and development tasks.
Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
Support data integration, analysis and visualization
Integrate system components and third-party programs at an enterprise level
Verify and deploy programs and systems
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
Gather and evaluate user feedback
Recommend and execute improvements
Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
Qualifications
Pursuing a major in Engineering, Modeling & Simulation, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Math, Operations Research, Business Administration, or related fields.
Basic proficiency with a variety of data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and database programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose and write a variety of internal and external documents, reports, and presentations.
Strong interpersonal and listening skills required, with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with its clients.
Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication.
Strong problem solving, time-management, and organizational skills.
Strong planning skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritize assignments with minimum supervision. Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Access.
Experience with Visual Basic for Applications and Java is highly desirable.
Programming experience-ability to program and learn new programming languages quickly.
