Pacific Theatres company history timeline

1978

Throughout its history, Pacific Theatres has been an industry pioneer, even winning the 1978 Academy Award for Technical Achievement for its Cine-Fi sound system, which allowed drive-in moviegoers to receive soundtrack audio on their car radios.

1997

BOOK OF THE DRAGON won the Chalmers Canadian Play Award in 1997, and TENT MEETING (a collaboration with Morris Ertman) was nominated for Toronto’s Dora Mavor Moore Award and Edmonton’s Sterling Award.

2009

A long-time member of the Pacific Theatre community, Kaitlin began her career in 2009 as a PT apprentice.

Her first work with Pacific Theatre was as the stage manager for Eleanor Felton’s Taming of the Shrew in 2015, and she’s been hanging around the alley stage ever since.

She spent half her internship working in their office and the other half learning about dance base Stage Management during Program 2: 2017 which she was very grateful to be a part of.
